It does work for paint, all of my art has been from paint, if you want to see go rescue it from oblivion it is at the very bottom of the page!! Anyway the problem may be that you have a period in the file name, if this is the case change the name of the file you want to upload so that there is no period and it should work, (for example: file name: Sub-Zero v.s. Scorpion, change to --------> Sub-Zero vs Scorpion). If there is no period then I dont know what the problem is, but paint does upload on this site.

I think I might know what your problem is because I've had a similar problem. If you saved your image as a jpg in Paint, it doesn't always work depending on which version of Paint you have and the settings you have on your computer.
If you want a fair quality of image and you have MSWord, try copying your image from Paint, Pasting it into word and saving the whole thing as a web page. This way MS will save everything as files in a folder. Simply go into the the folder, find the jpg (or gif) image, rname it and upload it. It'll be a decent file size and usually a pretty good quality.
Well, that's what I used to do before I got Photoshop. I hope it helps.
