I think Mortal Kombat is amazing to be straight up. But if they would like to add more content to bring the game up another level this is what I suggest.

• Customizing SHOULD NOT enhance fighter stats in any type of way besides appearences. Injustice 2 was ridiculously depressing considering every time I tried to fight online I would get my booty whooped by someone with better stats then me. (Seriously, like c’mon man, you already look bada$$ just go easy on me, Jesus Christ...)

• Special Moves should be purchased with fight money instead of obtaining by random opportunity. If I was let’s just say, for example: Sub-Zero & and I wanted his ice hammer, I should waste currency on it instead of just fighting and fighting and hoping that maybe one day I’ll be lucky enough to obtain said special move...

• Characters with skins should have customization options as well! That’s a no brainer right there, Frost should have her own animations! (similar, but just a bit different! Enough to acknowledge.)

I guess that’s all I have to complain about for now? Honestly I’m not even complaining. I’m just really psyched for MK 11 and I have no idea what to do with myself in the meantime :P

edit: double posted by mistake? Please delete my last bulletin! Gracias amigos... love you all, guys.

...indeed.

The main thing I hope does not carry over from Injustice is special moves as add ons(for a lack of a better term). I want access to all my special moves and would rather keep loadouts cosmetic only.

Sadly, “kustom variations” pretty much guarantees certain special moves(some of the coolest, like Injustice) will be loot drops.

I just want the special moves not tied to gear. There were certain special moves I wanted but never couild get. NRS are good at iterating on existing systems and open to feedback so I hope they take that element away.

Loot drops were unique, but the loot should be less expensive you know what I mean?

Like maybe they should be like, banners and emblems and stuff like that but not stuff that literally has to do with when I am in battle because those things are stuff that I wish I could work for and KNOW that I worked for it myself. I didn’t receive it by random... lol

EDIT: even pictures of the dev team or funny little things like "cooking with scorpion" ...

I haven't ever got the chance to play Injustice 2 but man, oh man does that sound like bullshit. You get special moves at random instead of earning them in specifically set gameplay goals? So some jerk who hasn't played half as much as you could get a cool move that you can't get totally at random?

Stuff like that, yeah. Loot drop the shit out of profile banners, avatars, etc. But things that affect actual gameplay is a bit too much.

Yup. Complete bullshit.

p.s. God bless this forum update. This was the most convenient multi-quote post I’ve ever made, haha.

under no circumstance should gameplay be affected whether its gear stats, special moves, x-rays or any of that because im so sick of pay to win games and the future of gaming looks crap with this microtransaction crap in every single game now. So much custom stuff you can pay for or get in the krypt that shouldnt affect gameplay like banners, online profile avatars, king of the hill avatar skins, character skin peices (head, body, boots, legs, classic, premium skins of current characters like Great kung lao as a kung lao skin etc, different brutalities, friendships, hari kiri, even sell animalities which would probably sell great, more fatalities, DLC, custom game modes for sale (chess, motor kombat). Sell to your hearts content to give them game massive replay value but please not the gameplay pay to win!

Call me a fighing games purist, but I rather like the idea that how well you perform in a match is tied purely to what happened in that match battle - not based on how much time you spent grinding to level up your character, not based on your logging in during a specific window of time to get some powerful item, and certainly not based on how much extra money you spent on microtransactions to increase your chances of winning. Your chances of winning should be the same whether you are signed into your account or not.

That's what I'm hoping for with MK11!

No! Regardless I believe micro transactions will always be there for business purposes, but still... I do not agree with what you are saying? What I think (IMO) is that you should get paid IN-game like for performing combos, using special moves a certain amount of times (more or less, like “use ‘iceball’ 3 times.) and for how many hours you put into the game! That should count for everything outside of the main menu and pause screen... lol you should even get currency for practice mode because why not am I right? Then again idk maybe like cut it by 50%

Absolutely. Seeing RPG elements slowly creep into fighting games has been painful to watch.

Speaking of which; completely off topic I know but wouldn’t it be dope for like a RPG styled mini game with pure special moves... :O

Mortal Kombat is the only fighting game franchise I play so MK11 will be the first time I see this kind of thing, just reading about it here is making me seriously doubt if I'll be playing MK12 whenever that comes around because if it's as bad as it sounds I'll give up on MK altogether.

While there will likely be some gameplay altering catch to cosmetics(hopefully not) I wouldn't be too worried about it. In Injustice 2 you had the option of playing in competitive ranked and player matches, which means any special boosts or moves you attached to a character is stripped away for a more pure fighting experience. No reason to think that wouldn't carry over here.

Also agree on not monetizing stat boosts and moves. I’m really hoping they learned that lesson from the response tobit in I2. There’s so many other things they can monetize that don’t effect gameplay and I’m perfectly fine if they want to leverage those aspects for all they’re worth since this kind of thing is now the reality of gaming (sadly). But there has to be a line and this should be that line. Don’t make MK pay to win. Simple as that.

I get the feeling we are going to be able to customize weaponry too. If not, maybe introduce Kreate a Weapon mode, if it's in demand.
