With all the new character customization and stuff...don't you think it's likely that the damage system is going to be cut out of the game? I mean...how big of a job is it to render every piece of armour and clothing this game has to offer with different degree of damage?...wow...it has to be massive...I'm sorry to say, but I think this game is going to be too much like injustice...from what i've seen..it looks damn close..and I hate it...i want the grittiness from mkx, NOT the glossy children's party colorfest that was injustice 2..hope to god i'm wrong!

Who knows, we'll have to wait and see. This isn't MKX, it's MK11, so I'm happy to see some colour back, it makes sense for them to take cues from their previous work. I think we'll see something of a mixture of MKX and Injustice 2 in terms of colour palette and detail.

After the reveal event it is safe to say the damage system is intact...Sonya looked battered and bruised after the fight with Baraka..looks promising!

She also had a cut around the right eye when she did the fatality..awesome!

What I want to know is how i am supposed to take 274.27 damage and turn it into a percentage of 100% of the health bar. I've never understood it in other games and now my game is doing it.

you start with 1,000 HP, so 274.27 damage is 27.42% damage. Might be an option to display as percentage, we'll see

Honestly I hope the damage system is gone. Having characters have black eyes and cracked lips in MKDA is fine. But things got excessive in MK9 and MKX. If it is in, I hope there's a way to turn it off because I would rather the characters just look like themselves instead of sweaty dirty ragged horror movie victims.

I agree to a certain extent...mk 9 was extreme yes, but mkx was just sweat and dirt..i want a mix of the two wich it seems is the case this time around. But yea...it should be an option to turn it off if you don't like it..i personaly love visible damage to the characters..it gives the punches and kicks more impact imo.
