Ninjas. I think they are pulling a dirty trick and in order to assure people buy that Kombat Pack they are going to drip feed ninjas throughout the DLC run of this game. I mean, I would prefer that to movie characters hogging roster slots in my Mortal Kombat game.

I think it'll look something like this. Or I'm "optimistic" it well.

Ermac (There comes a lot of hype with that character.)

Fujin (They would be stupid not to after the They Don't Really Care About Us outrage them snubbing him in MKX caused)

Havik, Li Mei, and since Noob is in the game it'd be fitting to include Sareena.

Well there have been rumblings of certain characters making it in but if I were to pick my own choices based on the roster we have, I would go with Shang Tsung, Sindel, Nightwolf and Fujin as the 4 MK folks we get.

If this were my personal wishlist however, those 4 would change to Fujin, Sektor, Li Mei and Havik with Rain, Smoke, Sareena and Reiko following in a second pack.

They could also do small Story mode (Like 3 or 4 Chapters) in DLCs packs so we feel the characters belong to MK11

Smoke (human ninja version), Rain, Reptile and Mileena would make this roster perfect for me.

Well my personal wishlist would be:

1. Sektor (give me more explosion and rockets)

2. Fujin ( I wanna see which ideas they would have with wind power)

3. Havik (just imagine what crazy stuff he could do - break his own back to evade under projectiles)

4. Reptile (even if he wasn't much fun in MKX, he will be always one of my fav)

5. Sindel (now NRS has fixed the hair problem, she should be in MK11)

6. Ermac/Kenshi (I like the telekinetic power both have)

Assuming there are two packs of six characters apiece, I’ll also assume around four of those characters are guests. Probably Spawn and three horror characters I couldn’t give a shit less about if I tried.

So with Shang Tsung being in, that leaves seven. My guesses are:

DLC ?? simple my prediction is based on the high demand of MKX and online speculation:

Shang-Tsung (alwready confirmed)

Fujin by High-Demand

Rain by High Demand during MKX periode

Mileena by High Demand

Spawn by high demand during MKX periode

O.G. Pennywise or Micheal Mires (Bothe are highly speculated) Micheal during MKX.

Second DLC wave:

Reptile (they just can't skip a game without him)

Smoke (high demand)

Sindel (high demand MKX)

Guest character (pennywise ore micheal myers)

Fujin will be in the first or second DLC round, I think he will get the Tremor treatment. Tremor was so highly demanded, that they will put him in. Fujin has a weapon in what he uses in MKX (Wind Staff).

Rain should have been base roster in MK11 after they shafted him in MK9 and he was in story mode in MKX. I’m pretty bummed it looks like he’ll be sitting this one out. He definitely has story potential.

Sindel should at least have a cameo or two in story mode.

I hope for Sareena and Smoke. Do not care about any other characters.

The previous Kombat Packs had 4 characters and 5 characters each included two guests... so the people factoring in 2 guests with each pack are absolutely correct.

the Kombat Pack was released in biweekly installments. One character would be released with skins. This format will probably hold true for mk11. It will be NRS’ way if extending the Kombat Pack “season”.

With Shang confirmed it leaves 7 MK universe characters at best.

Kp1:

Ermac, nightwolf, Mileena, shang

kp2:

Reptile, Fujin, Sareena, Sindel

If we get Rain, Sindel and Fujin I'll be thrilled!!

Though I'd still love to see Ashrah, Havik, Sheeva, Tanya and Sareena. However I doubt Tanya since they wouldn't make her DLC twice.

KP1 Sindel and Nightwolf are confirmed, yes?

KP2 or some other one will definitely have Smoke and Stryker, they are revenants and belong to the story.

Also hope for Sareena and Ashrah.

Stryker's a fave of mine, but I think he's more of a "base roster or bust" character

Guys, we will only get 6 characters as DLC, cause the premium package description where it explains what you pay for, mentions only 6 DLC characters through the whole season.

Yeah, I am aware of this. I guess we'll have to see if they stick to just one season of DLC or not. It's been rumored that there will be two for awhile now but the fact that the premium package only lists one could mean that's all we'll get. I guess I am just hoping as a fan that the rumors about two seasons will pan out despite the description here only mentioning one.

Orrr maybe they will finally delve into some of the DA/Deception stuff in MK12, and Havik will appear then? Hey, we have the right to hope. lol. I know they just haven't shown much love for their 3D era in the post-MKvsDC era so far but it's kinda like, where the hell else can they take things from here?

They rebooted the original timeline, did a sequel set far in the future that ages the characters and introduces a new generation of Earthrealm warriors, and now they are doing a soft reboot via a Crisis on Infinite Earths type story colliding the OG timeline with the MK2011/X timeline. It would seem like a pretty natural progression for them to go from this reboot to a sequel to it that borrows from DA/Deception just like they went from MK 2011 to a sequel that borrowed from MK4.

As for the ninjas thing, yeah, I agree. Seeing as we have all 3 classic female ninjas plus Frost and Skarlet in the base roster I am hoping we end up with all the male ninjas by way of DLC.

I wish in MK12 they do another Reboot and trash the story mode all together because all it does it make things messy.

You literally cannot make a compelling story with 20+ powerful characters that cannot die. It becomes the mess that we are in now. The writers need to make excuses to bring people back... it creates a giant mess that I don't think anyone can properly pull off and stay true to all canon.

The only way to do it properly is to reboot. Make Mortal Kombat about a F*ing tournament again between earthrealm & Outworld. And then have the player choose a character that they want to have win the tournament. & the story progresses in a quasi-canon state each game.

^ The sooner NRS realizes that the increase in popularity of the MK games is not because of the god damned story mode, but because they are actually producing a legitimate fighting game now; the better it will be for all of us who are interested in the stories of our beloved characters.
