Today, a press site based in the UK and serving gaming journalists updated the MK11 page with what appears to be the first screenshots from the Nintendo Switch version. A friend of mine who has access to the press resources sent me two of the images. He claims the other two look like they are taken from a quest mode in the game or something similar.

The Switch version looks... weird, to say the least. I can't even recognize the two female characters. They could be completely new, but they do share colors with Skarlet and Jade.

Not that I expected more from the NS version, but I'm still in real shock.

My initial thoughts were the same as yours. But he sent me the screenshot from the site, proving the images are published with the other MK11 resources in the MK11 folder. The only explanation is: GamesPress messed up or MK11 looks like this on the NS.

Aaaaaah for fuck's sake.

That's the winter event of Guild War 2. It took 2 seconds of Google to find out.

At least put some work into these fake leaks.

What fake leaks? The site is real and its contents are real.

I've never played Guild Wars, so how am I supposed to know what to expect from it or what to google?

Anyway, glad it's not MK.

I've never played Guild Wars either.

If this wasn't meant as a fake, just take a better look at the pictures next time. MMORPG asthetics, obvious "christmas-event" stuff like candy canes swords and sexy santa clause costumes. Sub-par graphics. There's no way in hell this was MK11. If it's on a real website, then someone made a mistake uploading these pictures.

The site is real and very respected. Usually, it's updated by the developers and/or publishers themselves. WB Games does this for all their titles, hence the lack of watermarks on the images.

Someone at WB Games screwed up royally.

It seems like it. I wonder how GW pictures got there seeing as it's not even owned by WB.

The tags / File names even say Guild and Holiday...

Fail.

The logical explanation is that those Guild Wars images are just placeholders taken from the web to avoid spoilers. Assuming that it is a legit website of course (which I somehow doubt). :P

The fact that you posted a “leak” before, one glance at these made me think it was you again. XD

I respect your opinion, feel free to think what you want. But the truth is I have no rights to publish assets at GP. Also, you have to register with press credentials in order to dowlnload the PR stuff, including the images. Forming an informed opinion requires one to know how GP functions.

Knowing this and knowing that I'm no game developer/publisher, proves your theory wrong. :) Also, I don't work for the press, so I don't have the required credentials.

Still, I'm ready to take the blame, if it means no one at NRS/WB Games gets fired or punished for their mistake. It's a funny mistake on their part, I suspected it, and that is why I never claimed these pics are the real deal. I was honest enough to say that it's my theory that the screens are from the NS version. It was a speculation, based on the fact that the chicks do share somewhat similar costumes and colors with two of the MK ladies. It's simple as that.

Lmao...your entire post was you claiming this was from the Switch version. The TITLE OF THIS THREAD is "First screens from the Switch version - looks bizarre". There is no apprehension on your part whatsoever.

So either you got trolled or this is a poor attempt at trolling on your part.
