Hey all,

I had a good amount of fun on the closed Beta. I liked the feel and fighting. I'm not a big combo string player.

My only major complaint besides the match making online (which I assume was crappy due to the beta) was the repetitive player SFX after certain moves. I mostly used Kabal and his taunting "Kaballin" and whatever he says after the Dash move was way too much. I don't want to turn it off because some of it is good. But 20 times a match is too kuch.

Online match making would be great if they used an algorithm that paired players style. And/or you could filter out certain play styles. As well as a system that docked points for declining green bar ping signal matches.

Yeah, the repetitive voice clips were slightly annoying to me as well, especially "Kaballin'." But it's still an early build and they probably added a bit more variety by now. Given how much variety there was in MKX, where characters even had personalized lines against certain opponents, it's hard to imagine the final release would offer less.

I agree and the easiest fix would be making it come out less often, for example, 1 in 10 times the move comes out instead of 1 in 3 or every time. Usually I have separate music playing so it didn't bother me too much.

If this is your only major complaint you are really gonna love this game!

Totally agree with the annoying Kabal clips (still going to be one of my mains though :P ) It wasn't just the one line though. Almost all of what he said was annoying to me. I don't know if that's because I don't really like how his voice sounds this time around. He kinda of sounds... I dunno...maybe "too young" is what I'm thinking here? The voice, to me anyway, just doesn't fit his look. All power to people who actually like voice. Nothing wrong with that. I personally just don't.

Not agreeing with the green bar ping point reduction. Especially not for player matches. I think people were just declining a lot because they wanted to try to play against their friends.
I don't think people just be punished for not wanting to play against someone. And green bar ping doesn't really say everything. Strangely enough I had connections with full bar and wired connection that lagged a lot and then I got yellow bar with wifi where the fights didn't lag at all.

My complaint from the beta is the audio glitch I got 85% of the time. I really hope they fix that, because it got enoying after a while.

Same for me. I don't think this is something that should be punished. As stated above, I think a lot of the declines had nothing to do with ping or even win/loss ratios. I think it was simply people looking to find their friends. You can't blame folks for that, especially regarding a beta. Of course people wanted to find and play their friends. Declining thousands of times was the only way to do that in the beta (and most times that didn't even work cause you never got your friends). Kind of makes me wonder about the pro players who were playing... a lot of them in their videos seem to be playing other pro players/friends in a lot of them. I don't know if this was just because they happened to be lucky or if they were given a way to do that (which would be fine and make sense since it would be good PR on the part of NRS to let them do that and have plenty of vids out there of high level MK 11 play to catch the eye of fans and new comers alike. Nothing calls attention to a game better than seeing amazing things done on screen) So yeah, don't know which it was...but it was just something I noticed.

Anyway, that'll all change when the game comes out and there won't be half as much declines in player matches as those who want to play friends can just make their own rooms.
