Graphics and looks are amazing.

Character Roster is not the strongest.

Fun factor especially on how you unlock finishers, character and other hidden attributes are horribly bad.

Gameplay is a 10. Easy. I absolutely love it.

The story is like a 6.5-7. It was interesting but felt rushed and a lot of stuff was just dropped and happened for...reasons?

The Living Towers are terrible. Klassic Towers are fun as always so towers get a 7

The Krypt is cool, like awesome as fuck looking but i can already tell its going to piss me off. So 7.

And I don't like the customization aspect. It worked fine for Injustice but MK, I want skins.

The game is only two days old so I'll take more time but Originally I wanted to give it a 9. But now I think about it more, see other's complaints and realize it's a 6.5-7 at the moment.

Woof, don't the actual fighting mechanics at least bring that up a bit? I mean I agree on the roster and Krypt, but the stages, graphics and game play are great.

5/10. We'll see if a patch helps any. I'm very disappointed in decisions they made. Graphics are superb, backgrounds are a huge improvement, but I'm not having fun. At all. And, I don't appreciate comments on social media by NRS employees over criticisms.

None. I play games since 1990... and I just love the Game and i love that it is huge and I don’t get everything in the first week. I’m casual player with work and family and till now I have no reason to complain.

Honestly I’m at about 6 or 7. It’s good, but I’m just not enjoying this MK as much as I thought that I would.

Giving it a 6 for right now. The presentation and fighting mechanics are easily the best parts of this game. Story was better than MKX, but fell short in a couple of aspects. Base roster is better than MKX too, but kind of anemic. Less special forces characters and more highly requested characters would have improved the roster. The microtransactions, lootboxes (thanks WB), and the amount of grinding are atrocious. If this mobile game tier bullshit is fixed in the upcoming patch, I'd give it a 7.5

Graphics -- 8.5/10 Great graphics. Backgrounds, Design, Asthetics and characters are the best in MK ever.

Animation --8.5/10 Some weird animations but overall a huge improve from past MK games.

Roster -- 7/10 Should be better. I don't get Why Jacqui and JAX, Sonya and Cassie. Could have others, Kenshi, Reptile, Mileena, Shinnok, Fujin, Havik, Li Mei, Sareena,Ashrah, Takeda. Nightwolf, would give balance to the roster and diversity

Story -- 4.5/10. I don't get the plot and the decisions. Poorly to say the best.

Krypt -- 9/10. Too expensive to get things but fun overall

Klassic Towers -- 8/10

Towers of time -- 2/10 (And it's too good) - Stupid AI, Stupid modifiers that have a cool down for AI almost instantly. Not fun where should be the best single player mode. For example, playing KID's Korner (Medium Difficulty) with 2 modifiers, almost 20 times slower regeneration than AI modifiers (3 strong ones) - Your modifiers take almost 2 rounds to refill if used early in first round (!!!!!) -. AI modifiers are always available, unblocked and cheap. 3 hits and you're done. You're in a middle of a combo, hit 2 times and that's it. You can't win. If the patch doesn't fix this, the game will suffer bad, because this is the mode where people play. MKX and Injustice were way better balanced. Has the potential to be great, but as it is now...

Also, I can't understand the difficulty of the AI, even in Medium Difficulty. They track all your moves, all attacks have advantage (they hit first and combo). They block everything. What's the point? Almost Fatal Blow connects. I never felt a game had a poor design in a mode. Is this the mode that blow people's minds?

NetCode -- 9/10 Even If I don't play much online.

Gameplay Mechanics -- 8.5/10 I like it, but some Krushing blows are weird. Fatal Blows should have a big cool down and go away on block. And they start to get old. I like that there is no run button.

Customization -- 8/10 Better than Injustice, could be better. Some aspects of Gear augmentations should been different. Multiple Intros, Endings are a nice addition.

Fatalities -- 8/10 They're great.

Overall -- 7.5/10 (Average) --6/10 (based on current Towers of Time) . Those Towers of Time are, for now, the big weakness of the game. Hope the patch will fix this. Bottom line. Although the stages are pretty and detailed I think MK9 stages were better. These ones lack fatalities and personality, like the living forest, the pit, the acid pool.

Spent an hour with Kung Lao and he single handedly improved my rating from 6.5 to 7.5.

7/10 with the current state of progression.

Graphics 10/10: In 4K HDR...pretty mind blowing.

Gameplay 9/10: Took the best from X and improved on it.

Story 8/10: Campy and fun have no complaints here (why no Kronika in the background of the hourglass stages though?)

Progression 5/10: FUBAR atm

Better than 9 and better than X imo. But the roster for me is pretty much all my favorite characters minus Mileena. And Shang Tsung is incoming so....

Towers of Time...-3

Story: 3.5/10 (please, hire new writers)
Graphics: 9/10 (seriously, great job, best thing going for the game, the gore and cutscenes are great)
Gameplay: 7.5/10 (definitely missing the speed of MKX, but it's good)
Progression: 1/10 (gg no re WB)
Towers of Time: 1/10 (if I wanted to play Test Your Luck on crack all the time, I would've asked for that mode separately)
Polish: 5/10 (why are there wrong tooltips in character tutorials?)
Roster: 6/10 (not as many total wastes of space as MKX, but some curious choices for sure)
Costumes: 6/10 (they look fine, there's just far too little variety considering 60+ skins for each character)
Netcode: 8/10 (mostly smooth when playing friends who are 2-3 time zones away)
AI: 5.5/10 (for those complaining, the AI in this series has literally never been good, so I'll take what I can get)
Customization: 5/10 (again, not a ton of variety and unlocking things is a chore, but it's nice to have)

Overall: 7/10 (at least, that's what it'll be once the annoying things are cleaned up)

9. Best since mk2. In fact, gameplay mechanics remind me so much of mk2 that I get all warm and fuzzy inside!

Right now a solid 7. Just finished story mode, it was fine for what it was. Hearing bad things about those towers of time though.....so we'll see.

Echo everyone else's statements about the graphics. This game is so beautiful.

For what it is worth, I find myself enjoying this more than I did MKX.

Looks and plays fantastically well.

Grinding for skins is horrible.

With the gear and augments it's too convoluted and confused.

Does anyone enjoy modifiers? Aren't they just a pain?

Roster missing some vitals.

Krypt is okay but expensive. They've been making these games for decades and know exactly what they're doing.

Fun to a point which is a shame because it could be brilliant.

I give it a solit 8.5 it's a great game with TONS of single player content. The issues everyone has with the T O T and the economy can be patched so I am judging based on the core game. My only disappointment so far.... no Havik. A special nod goes to the training section not only covers all the in fight mechanics but each character has their own specific training lessons as well !

Story - 8.5: I really enjoyed the story. It was funny, action packed and emotional in some parts.

Gameplay - 9: The most important part. I enjoy the slower pace of fights compared to past 2D fighters I’ve played.

Graphics - 9: Was blown away with how realistic everything looked. Though I noticed beards looking funky when transitioning from a fight to a cutscene in story mode.

Presentation - 9: Really dig the menus for some reason. Very good tutorials for beginners like me and a lot of options to choose from in practice mode.

overall - 9.5 (not an average)

I’ll go 8.5 for now.

I feel WB have had some more input but glad NRS seem to acknowledge the TOT crap.

I wish there were more explanations on how to get certain things etc
