There was a tweet claiming this.
Got deleted...

Because of the name... would make sense... kind of...

But I take it with a grain of salt. None of the leaks were true...

Well, you all got your Tremor now. Can we finally move on?

Why would MK11 be an MK2 remake when MK9 covered 1, 2 and 3, with MKX incorporating a bit of 4 into a brand new storyline? The MK2 storyline was completely covered in the new timeline already.

No.

I would bet quite a few MK2 characters will be in, maybe even Shao Kahn but a MK2 remake? Unless they having Raiden trying to change history again I dont see it.

Why couldn't this ending have happened?

The MK2 portion of the timeline was already told in MK9. Plus how can they re tell the game when damn near everyone from MK2 is currently dead?

This game will most likely feel like Deadly Alliance [Revanents Liu Kang and Kitana] and Deception [Dark Raiden]

MK2 was bigger than MK1
They played a little bit with the 11, making it look like a 2 / II
Whitch in my opinion means something like: this game is bigger and better than MKX

Remake no. But for sure inspiration. This shit looks like MK2 on steroids. The mood is MK2 to me. I'm glad they listen to us and got rid of those rainbow, unicorn WoW graphics bullshit.

Finish him!
