It looks like meter (or crushing blow) is required to juggle. This kills alot of fun to lab combo's imo. It's still in beta, but im almost sure that NRS intentially made meter to extend the damage output (juggle mechanic). This worries me that without meter the game ends up looking a bit boring.

In MK9 i could use meter to extend combos, but "meter" was not "required". The combo build had potenial and variated even without using meter. This will not be the case in MKx. I m almost sure to say that this early.

The ketchup vs Mustard gameplay showed a few combo's but they all required meter and looked repetetive after a while. variations will only change their move sets but eventually meter again is used to juggle.

Limited mobility and restrictions like meter and crushing blows have me worried that the game will play very LINIAR. Im afraid that players dont have alot of input to express their own playstyle and end up looking all very similar to each other.

I want MK11 to be the best MK game. I hope i missed something and that this wont be the case. I really like how MK11 is looking sofar.

I think you mean Krushing Blows instead of Fatal Blows. Well, the main difference is that you need to prepare your Krushing Blows to get a combo chain. With the Fatal Blow you can then make 50-70% combos which should really hurt and is a gamechanger. So if you play you have to decide how risky you play. Could be more thrilling like it was in MKX and MK9.

lol yes i ment crushing blows.

its a good thing. i like it in SF5 aswell. I just don't like that i have to use meter, crushing blows or fatal blows to make impact combo wise.

And this

"Limited mobility and restrictions like meter and crushing blows have me worried that the game will play very LINIAR. Im afraid that players dont have alot of input to express their own playstyle and end up looking all very similar to each other"

is what has me most concerened.

When i had complaints about MKx when it was released. Nobody was talking about them. Now everybody talks about the complaints.. We will see within time.

New gameplay but it looks exactley the same as previous gameplay videos of Barake vs Skarlet. fatal blows getting old already... Take too long and dont require meter so get used to see FB alot.

MK11 is better off with a delay.

I like that the game play will be reining in combos. I prefer a more slow paced fight that's more about the strategy of staying close vs keeping your opponent far away and playing footsies than about juggling people with combos. Also if special inputs for meter are required as I'm hearing instead of just hitting RT that will compel more people to pick certain characters to be specialists in, which is a dynamic I enjoy. You have to really learn each character you want to play with at a level that's a bit more in depth if the meter burn is required and and also requires a particular input for that character.

You can have combo's and footsies. Look at Street Fighter and Tekken, they have more footsies and deapth than any NRS games released so far. And the games have a good amount of juggle combo's.

Entering a cheat to pull of EX moves is imo not the best way to add a skill lvl. Eventually it does not add more deapth to the gameplay. It may become frustrating for casuals and makes execution way more complex than necessary.
