Anyone have new character ideas for the next game?

Including a new final boss? Onaga can wait.

To replace D'Vorah, I'm thinking of a male kytinn based on a spider.

Plus if there'll be a new Tarkatan replacing Baraka, how about giving it not only blades like Baraka, but to also shoot out bony spikes like Marrow & Spyke from X-Men.

I also think that Nightwolf should have a niece/nephew joining the SF replacing Jacqui (she'll be on communications). I would go for niece, for if she has the powers of a druid & a shaman, she can bring her uncle back to life so that he can formulate a plan to bring back the others.

Dalilah : She is a commoner to most people but her back story is that she has powers like her cousin Nightwolf and magic powers like Ashrah.
Duraka : Cousin of Baraka but with blades that can turn into ice, fire and acid. Kamidogu gives him these powers.
Travesty : He is Cassie Cage's uncle that gets corrupted into becoming a knife wielding maniacal monster.
Vollak : Half man half bat creature with vampire fangs and fire breath. He once was Havik's second in command but lost out to Reiko. Now with Reiko dead and Havik gone he is now the leader of the Chaos Realm.
Lirac : She was a member of the red dragon but found out that Sareena is her sister and goes searching for her to finally be reunited with her.
Hinsu : He was trained by Shujinko and has the abilities that can bend time and space and much more than meets the eye with all of his Kung Fu skills and trickery he is a force to be reckoned with.
Kalla : She was formed by the hatred that made Sindel who she was now Sindel's spirit and Shao Kahn's hatred spirit gives her her powers of pure evil with screams like her creator Sindel and Hammer from her creator Shao Kahn that she can control to be the most powerful being around. Only way the curse can be broken that created her is to make her love someone.
Pinatra : She is the daughter of the Dragon King and Tanya and she helps him destroy anyone that gets in her father's way of ruling the world. With the abilities of Tanya and the instincts of a Dragon She is nearly unstoppable. Only one that can stop her is the chosen one Kai.

If the Dragon King is added to a member of his mummified army. The undead general had been planned to enter the MKDA and then was cut. Even though the game does not treat the Dragon King, it can be added as an element to expect your return.

- Kano's son, who is out for revenge against his father (see his MKX ending). He uses a machete or kukri knife as his weapon and would have a moveset similar to Jason.

- A half-man/half-bat hybrid creature.

- A member of the Brotherhood of Shadow who uses a lightsaber style weapon. One of their variations would give the weapon two blades (like Darth Maul)

- A cyborg assassin lady who wields a wide range of guns. Possibly a Black Dragon or Red Dragon member.

- An albino tiger Shokan.

- An winged, angelic being with light-based powers, as well as flight

- A hooded, mysterious figure who uses a medieval flail as a weapon.

- A cyber ninja who has a chainsaw weapon attached to their arm (possible substitute for Leatherface while adding something new)

- A musketeer-like assassin who wields a rapier.

- A psychotic punk rocker who fights using a weaponized guitar, possibly with a flamethrower attachment like that guitar from Mad Max: Fury Road.

- A tall, thin, masked Shokan who wields a sword in each hand. Similar in design to General Grievous from Star Wars.

- A warrior demigod whose design is inspired by ancient Egypt and wields a kopesh or an epsilon axe.
- Brotherhood of Shadow member who uses a scythe
- Someone who uses plant powers

Leviathan - A marine being who uses a trident, with Greek influences in the character, who serves a mythological colossus, sea devil.

Long post ahead.

Immortal_Kanji: "To replace D'Vorah, I'm thinking of a male kytinn based on a spider."

Why do you want to replace D'Vorah with a male Kytinn? Why couldn't we have both?

"I also think that Nightwolf should have a niece/nephew joining the SF replacing Jacqui (she'll be on communications). "

Nah, let's have both Jacqui and a female Native American (who doesn't have to be related to Nightwolf in anyway, nor part of a tribe) instead.

DAHK9: "Leviathan - A marine being who uses a trident, with Greek influences in the character, who serves a mythological colossus, sea devil."

I like this idea.

My suggestions:

The female Tarkata from Baraka's MK9 ending.

Viking. He could even be an original Revenant (as in, a character that's already dead upon being introduced), or it could be a female Viking from another world.

Knight

Chemist in the vein of Breaking Bad's Walter White.

Space alien, with spaceships and all. For it's appearance, I was thinking a creepier version of Metal Slug's Mars People (though it doesn't have to be evil).

A blob.

One of Shinnok's demons from MKX.

Shadow Priest

A huge Medusa-like creature with a snake-like lower body.

Kappa (A creature from Japanese mythology)

Not fully new, but Ferra as a mount with a new rider (And Ferra/Torr as an alt)

And while she isn't new, Khameleon needs such a complete overhaul design and move-wise, that she might as well be a new character (I'd keep her story the same though, what little she has anyway)

She should get a new design inspired by the X-Men movies' Mystique, though being reptilian, she doesn't need hair nor breasts. For her projectile/stun move, she should spit a thick substance like the Dilophausorus in Jurassic Park.

As a twist, female Saurians could be taller than the males.

Another new design that could suit Khameleon is one that'd resemble Primal Rage's Vertigo.

As you can see, I want the ninja to be completely purged from Khameleon.

Quote from DiamondDevil: A cyber ninja who has a chainsaw weapon attached to their arm (possible substitute for Leatherface while adding something new)

My reply: We've already got two such characters, actually: Cyrax and that giant robot from MKM's prison of souls mission, though both had circular saws. But yeah, I'd like a Leatherface substitute with a similar chainsaw, too. They could bring back back that saw-wielding robot albeit a smaller version of it, or, if variations return, give Cyrax a chainsaw-oriented variant with one attached to one of his arms. Not that a Leatherface subsitute has to be a robot or a cyborg, though.

Another suggestion, and a old idea of mine: A body-swapping entity in the vein of the Goa'uld from the Stargate: SG1 TV series and the creature from the movie Hidden (from the late 80s). It would already be inhabiting an host, and in single-player, you'd have the optional ability to switch hosts at the end of a fight, adding said host's moveset to the entity's (you couldn't switch to unplayable bosses, though, nor on-disc DLCs like Goro in MKX's ladder mode until you've downloaded them).

When fighting it in single-player, sometimes you wouldn't know you'd be fighting it until you saw your opponent suddenly use one of it's moves. Other times you'd know from the intros, and it could be inhabiting either it's original host or another character.

Why not just bring back Noob and Havik, instead?
