How's that working for everyone? I've been messing with him all day, and have a couple of decent combos with him, but I find him to be very awkward. He tends to get knocked out of his Combo strings very easily, and, apparently, a lot of people have discovered that crouching low is the best tactic against him. Go for a low, they can hit him out of it. Go for a high, they hit him out.
I had a measure of success with him earlier because I was fortunate enough to capitalize on my combos, but at this point, I'm 9 W, 9 L.
I was checking another site and saw similar complaints. Shao is a little too predictable . Fought an Erron Black who managed to block almost all of his attacks for 2 matches. We both agreed it was a little too easy to read his attacks. He needs a better high/low mix up, I think. His taunt is completely unsafe. Is sweep move and his back B or is it his back a? Move are good, but as I said most opponents block low so do schools are pretty ineffective anyway. I have to resort to grabbing and half the time they able to break the grab so, that tactic is somewhat ineffective.
Just my day one thoughts.
