Shrug. I remember when robots didn't belong in Mortal Kombat.

His broken skin reminds me of "Puzzle Kombat," my nickname for the Kreate-a-Fighter guy from Armageddon. He has an elemental theme to his moves and some kind of power source in his chest, both MK staples. He appears to be a construct, likely something Kronika created, which is a classic MK trope (Mileena, Ermac, Skarlet, Triborg, Meat, Blaze).

Shrug harder.

I feel like your post loses a lot of credibility when you end it by saying, "no more lame characters" and then continue, "gimme Chameleon, Motaro, Moloch, Drahmin" ... in the same breath.

I'm all for second chances in this franchise, don't get me wrong... but it's hard to deny you picked some questionable names to make that point.

Well given he's a God, I think he looks fine. He looks as bizarre as Kotal Kahn and I thought he fit in MKX very well. Nice blog post though.

I'd be all for seeing Moloch get revamped; he's my second favorite sub-boss after Kintaro. For all its monsters MK is still sort of lacking in the "beastly" archetype among its consistently recurring characters, and they did pretty well animating Grodd, so I think they could make Moloch into a real menace.

I will admit, he doesn't have the most interesting design; it is a little plain looking. However I do think he has a very interesting move set and i like what little I've seen of his personality through dialogue.

Overall I would not say he's out of place. Nothing like *cough*Ferra*cough*Torr*cough*. Yeah, he's kinda plain looking, but hey, so were most of the Kombat Kids.
