So which would yoilu rather have?
I know fire and ice got canceled before it started due to midway's financial problem, but with MKX recent success do you think MKSM2 is possible now?
+ed boon tweeted a hint at MKSM HD remake and how he said he would love to make another.
Or would you like a MKXI? In short its more of action adventure vs arcade fighting game
Choose your side or sides and give a explaination on why you chose what you chose.

Considering MKSM was a duplicated narrative of MK1 and MK2 I'd see MKSM2 picking up where MKSM left off, (maybe with an additionally altered roster, as Scorpion and Sub-Zero were not monks) with the happenings of MK3 and MK4, as a finale. Whether it would be the same experience depends on how it covers things that were confidentially undisclosed in the MK universe at the time. It may be too late for another MKSM though.

Probably MK11, but I would still be extrmley happy to see another SM style game. Lets keep it real, conquest mode isn't going to appear in a main series game again, so they should just make a Mortal Kombat: Konquest game IMO. Not sure how it would work since we already covered MK1/2, so maybe it could cover the events of MK3 and 4. (Or MK9 and MKX)

100% a new MK adventure game. Telling the story of how Qiuan chi and Shang tsung how they became the deadly alliance. I would really like that.

The Deadly Alliance bios and story tell that pretty well. What's left for imagination is always better in our heads than what NRS could give us. They're just so into modern USA these days that they can't write another good story as DA, Deception or Armageddon anymore. No oriental, ancient, mythological MK feeling with the Special Forces as far I'm concerned.

That's definitly true, unfortunatly i don't see NRS making a good MK adventure. They should let the guy's that made MK shaolin monks do the sequel. That game was really fun and stay'd true to MK.
And if they were make one about the deadly alliance, i hope we get to see the young days of Quan chi how he became what he is. untill the deadly alliance.
I prefer both. But if I had to choose I would go for MKSM since I've been craving and itching for either a new adventure game or conquest mode in the regular series since MKA. I still like the arcade fighter but somewhere along the line I became more interested in story and exploration of the realms. I'd love to see an MKSM style adventure game surrounding the events of MK 4-7. What I would really like to see is two MK teams working on games similar to what Disney is doing with Star Wars. As we get Star Wars ep 7 then next year a spin off then following year we get episode 8 and another spin off and so on. I'd like to see a new MK every 2 years. One team works on the next sequel and one works on the next adventure game. Where we would get a sequel then an adventure game 2 years later then another sequel after 2 years etc. That way we get a new game every 2 years but it allows them 4 years to develop each game.

Hmm...the NRS team (Boon and Co.) is the same team that created MK Shaolin Monks
For this next game, it would be nice to have an MK-Adventure style game back, not necessarily shaolin Monks 2, but perhaps a continuation of the storyline in they style of an action/fighting adventure. It should break the monotony of having fighting games. I feel NRS can make an outstanding game. They could make the gameplay similar to God of War, and perhaps you could play as different fighters along the way. So, they could retain the character specific chapter modes of the games, but you will no longer be "just fighting", rather each character in their respective chapters could be completing the levels by solving puzzles and defeating enemies by throwing them into deathtraps that could earn you points so that you can unlock special moves or the fatalities.
You know, I was playing MK (2011) just a few days ago and I noticed that on one of the arenas, there is a dead giant monster creature in the background. That got me thinking: why don't they include these giant bosses (like they did in God of war) and you defeat them using fatality moves... I think it would be really nice and fun to change the pace of the game and make a fighting/adventure hybrid.
Oh, and it would be really nice if they brought back alot of the dark humour, like make funny videos in include them as part of the unlockables...like this one:

I would love another SUb zero mythologies game this time it could intertwine with mkx and even go a little beyond. I was thinking three distinct chapters with an epilogue would be good;
First chapter could cover how sub takes down the cyber initiative. have him fight waves of cyborgs and end with him beating Sektor and Cyrax as boss fights. Just expand and lengthen the story from the comics.
Second chapter can pick up where he left off in mkx taking on kotal khans forces in the Forrest perhaps have him beat them back into outworld and follow them back to rescue some of his fellow klan who may have been taken hostage by kotal (frost could be one of the hostages).
Third and final chapter can send him on a quest to the netherrealm to try And restore his fallen friend smoke. Have him fight some of the revenants as boss fights and have it end with the revelation that smoke is not a revenant and is in fact an enera and evil by choice now rather then quan chis will. Could also include sareena as a nod to the original mythologies game.
And perhaps a short epilogue featuring the return of his brother Noob saibot setting up an interesting rivalry between the two brothers for the next MK game.
These are just my thoughts would be good I reckon but probably will never happen especially not in this way. Perhaps a leatherface adventure game where he quests around the MK universe is more likely?

I wouldn't be surprised if the next game was a follow up adventure game for mythologies. Coming to think of it, the adventure games usually focus on the side story of a particular character. But yeah, I would also like to see a follow up to mythologies, although with much better quality!
I'd rather see a good solid MK11. If they gave us another adventure game it would have to be from a story they haven't explored yet more in depth. We've done Sub-Zero/Scorpion with Mythologies, Jax/Kano with Special Forces, Liu Kang/Kung Lao with Shaolin Monks so if they did another it would need to explore other fighters' story we haven't yet. I wouldn't mind seeing one explaining the battle between Raiden and Shinnok that made the Elders create Mortal Kombat.
I'd be in favor of MKSM2 coming out in '17 and MK11 followed by 12 in like '18-'21, but they're gonna do whatever they wanna do. Even though I'd rather it wasn't the case, Injustice 2 will likely be next, followed by MK11 if they continue their old patterns.
SM2 would be so dope if it had the following though:
2D gameplay again.
Digitized actors (Liu Kang/Kung Lao main)
X-ray attacks
MK3-4 storyline including every arena from those games built into a level, or combining arenas to form a level.
Different ending for different characters. (Raiden/Fujin/Bo' Rai Cho/Kung Jin/Kai as unlockable)
