So, sub-zero is the blue ninja and has always been, scorpion the yellow, reptile is green ninja, you know where I'm going. People who don't play MK, remember a glimpse about the names of the ninjas. Even my wife saw me playing and asked why on earth sub-zero is red. I personally don't like it. I know having many skins for a character is maybe awesome for many people and brings money to the company, but, changing the main color of the ninjas, is like crossing the line. It ruins the magic, the uniqueness. BTW, I love the game, but I hate playing against a white scorpion. It would be better for Netherealm Studios to create a white ninja character.

I don't have a problem with white or black. These 2 go with everything. But I understand. That Scorpion skin you get for completing all season objectives is dark red and black. That really doesn't suit him. If it had a bit of yellow somewhere it would be fine. For orange or white you can at least say it represents flames or something so it's not completely off but dark red, green, even purple? And the same thing for Sub. He even has 2 or 3 skins with a bit of yellow. Like Lin Kuei member, grandmaster even would wear yellow.

But you can look from other perspective. This is MK, where everything is possible. And in the game with time traveling/manipulating, you can imagine "what if" scenarios. Like season one in kombat league is season of blood. Skarlet is a Kahn and Erron, Kitana and Scorpion are her closest allies. Well, that's how they would probably look like if that happened. ;)

Looking at it like that, even yellow on Sub Zero makes sense since he and Scorpion are allies now in the story.

If you don't like it, don't use it.

I don't get this community...I really don't. For years, everyone bitched and moaned about there not being enough variation in skins and colors and customization options. Now we have all three, and people are bitching and moaning about all the variation in color and skins and gear. Red, Black & Gold Sub-Zero is the main skin I use and I love it. I love it just as much as my White, Red and Black Scorpion, Navy Blue Jade and Green Raiden.

It's not lore, it's fun. FFS, just appreciate the fact that you FINALLY have the option to customize these characters, even a little bit, after all these years. As always, the MK community exemplifies toxic, whiney, entitled fandom. SMFH

Peronally, Id rather have them have all the previous outfits and some new unique outfits as their customization. Keep the color scheme that they normally use. It kind of throws things off for me when I see a Sub-Zero that is not blue.

its dumb to have colored characters but i gotten used to it. They should of kept the color theme and added klassic skins from other games and new skins using the SAME COLOR theme so I agree. There could be a red sub zero because the grand master was Red in his clan etc but alot of these color schemes dont make sense like a yellow skarlett wtf.... and yes im whine about that its fucking stupid

Not everyone bitched and moaned about a lack of color variants for character costumes. Some people may have pined for different skins as most alternates during the so-called "3D era" were clear rush jobs as a result of Midway forcing them to push out a product for the sake of maintaining whatever hype surrounded the series. But, I don't have any recollection of anyone complaining about a lack of pallet swap alternates.

People have different opinions and the alleged "everyone" you're referencing doesn't exist. Don't take criticism of something in which you've not had a single finger let alone a hand in creating so personally that you feel the need to attack an entire community. That's just immature if not purely asinine.

I agree that the pallet swap variants for every alternate are more a waste of space than a welcome addition. In my opinion, most look tacky, uninspired, and the colors clash pretty awfully. If someone has a problem with this opinion, then maybe they should insert themselves in some sort of echo chamber so that they're surrounded by opinions that fall in line with theirs.

The answer is simple, content fillers, that's why. They really make no sense but MK Team didn't care. They just needed some instant content filler, simple as that.
