Well... MK11 it's been out since two months and I just want to make my final verdict. I am a big fan of this franchise since I've been 14 years old. So.... to underpin this I choose to buy a XBoxOneX and a Sony AF9. Just to enjoy the great graphic and visuell effects. so.. I invest much in a MK game and of course I have expectations.

Long talk short sense... MK11 is the best MK in the whole franchise, but only a little bit in front of MK2 (my alltime favorite). You know, there are many good games outside here but the difference between a good game and a little masterpiece is only one thing: Details. Just the love and the little details they put in the game.

Let's start with the graphic. Holy S***, it is the most beautiful looking fighting game right now. Every time I play it on my TV I am stunned because of the details I can see. The structure of the faces, the animations are way more fluid than before, the backgrounds... this is just a new experience to play a MK game. And to play this in 4k with HDR is just mind blowing.. believe me. 10/10

Where you need your eyes to see it, your ears aren't far away. So... what about the sound? Breaking bones, screams of suffer and pain... yes, it sounds satisfying. Some of the background music is really great, but on the other hand some are not unique enough or even a little bit bland). But with the theme they did a great job. 7/10

The most important aspect of a fighting game is the gameplay and the balance between the fighter. First I have to mentioned that I only play offline and not against other players. So my focal points were different from other player. I like fighter which had enough strings to connect them into cool looking combos. So.. in MK11 they nailed it for me. It is a difference to play as Jax or Kollector. Most fighter of the roster has different gameplay aspects - some are more zoners, some heavy combo related and others are grabblers. The chance to find a kharacter which fits your way to play is extremly high. And I love to play with different kharacters because they look so great and I have so much fun. Way more fun than I had in MKX. I really appreciate the effort NRS put into the game. 10/10

If it comes to the roster it is safe that many people gonna be disappointed because in every MK game they rotate the roster like in no other fighting game i know. So yes.. I would also love to see Sektor and Reptile, but... I still gave new or reworked kharacters a try and I know I see my favorites back in an other sequel or as DLC (Reptile and Sektor as DLC.... read this NRS... as DLC!!! :-P). BEcause if sektor would be in the game, then maybe I could never play as Kollector which would be a shame. Even if I don't know which DLC will arrive in the future.. I could live with the current roster every day. But... I also would like to see a Kharacter with telekinetic power and I really hope for Takeda (yeah.. I know). Ok.. only my personal pouint of view. 9/10

Let's head to the story. The story has two sides of the medal. Some of you like them, some hate them. I never connected the story since MK2011 with MK games like armageddon and before. With this attitude I could enjoy the story and I was really impressed. Baraka was no stupid slave, Kotal tried to be a counterpart of Shao Kahn, the death of Geras, even Kronika...jep, they really gave some Kharacter more depth. even if some of them stay colourless (Raiden). And I really like D'Vorah as an badass in MK. Sometimes I wanna call her Petyr Baelish :-P Overall I am very pleased with the story which has a good balance when it comes to comedy or action parts. And we are talking about a fighting game! It is not self evident. 8/10

When it comes to the content I wanna talk about the Krypt. The first time I did my step into this giant treasure map was overwhelming. To find all of those little easter eggs and to collect new stuff was a lot of fun. But here comes my first criticism. After you have discovered every area and opned every chest you can only pay more koins to refill the chests.. but in the second run you only get consumables. The only chance to collect more gear or artworkes comes from the hidden chests or sometimes green orb chests... and the chances are low to get good stuff. Sure, you can spend your Koins into the shrine, but I would like to get good stuff from the chests too. And I also means consumables like dragon eyes, skeleton keys or philosopher's stone. right now the Krypt is a grave for Koins and the chance to get some cool stuff is low. It is to much random... which sucks. 7/10 (but 10/10 for the visuell aspect)

Which guides me to another complain... if NRS decide to bring new content like brutalities or other stuff like intros.... pls make it reachable for every player. I am only playing against the cpu. But to gain more brutalities I need to play the kombat league... why NRS? Why are you forcing players to play a specific aspect of the game to gain more stuff? That sucks. I know I am in the minority but I also paid 60 bucks for the game like every other player too. Just add those content into the towers of time and I am pleased. So everyone can reach it. MAybe I am the only one who think like this but I am really pi**** about it... hmpf.

Kamehameha.. ok, now I drink my tranquilizer and come back to my balanced mood... :-) even if this is something which bothers me, I am highly in love with MK11. So many little details (here they are.. the details) and eastereggs I never saw in a game before.

So my "final" verdict is: 9.5/10 almost perfect

I am curios to read what you think about MK11. Two months should be enough to make a review about the major aspects of the game. Pls feel invited to tell me your opinion. And pls forgive me my bad english. I know I never reach a perfect flow :-)

It's a great game hindered by unnecessary gameplay changes, too many useless skins (red Sub-zero, green Skarlet, purple Scorpion?), excessive grinding and slow paced kombat.

It's a great game with wasted potential and too much grind.

10/10

Best MK since MK2 in terms of gameplay (to me)

Fun as hell, lots of cool outfits. Story Mode was the best one of the three (9, X, 11). Wonderful ending.

Um what else? Oh yeah, I thought I would hate the customization thing, turns out I like it a lot! Towers of Time are pretty cool but I miss the Challenges of MK9 (like shooting zombies or the Mileena wants to give Scorpion a teddy one).

All in all, it’s terrific. Well worth the price of admission, a game I will play for a long long time

Agree with this 100%. I have nothing bad to say about this game. There's only one thing I want and that's balance patch and soon. Speaking of balance and the roster, it didn't look like an amazing roster for me at first but I've had a lot of fun with a lot of kharacters so far and I haven't even played them all yet. And I want to. So yeah, balance patch so the likes of D'Vorah and both Kahns get higher up and the top tiers toned down a bit and it's gonna be perfect.
