How will this work. Do I need to now buy a 3d hd TV to make this happen. I would like to get the full benefit of the game and at this point there is no way I can afford a 3d hd TV so that will suck for me.

Not sure. Maybe they will include anaglyph and shutter glasses modes too. I imagine 3D modes for TVs will become more common and standardised in time.

Talking of stereo 3D, has anyone else seen the Nintendo 3DS at E3? Seems so obvious now. Handheld devices have standardised screens. Makes sense that they should be the first to be big on 3D. I'll be getting one of those. :)

The whole 3D thing is just a gimmick. Okay yeah it will look awesome but will it change the gameplay? No. And you'll need to drop thousands on the TV and whatnot just to play some games in 3D. Lame if you ask me.

Most likely yes you will have to buy an expensive 3d tv. Sony is coming out with a new 3D-ready TV made just for 3D gaming. Sony is pushing this 3D stuff because they believe it is the next step in entertainment(so do film makers) and really it is. personally I'm a 3D fan but it needs to become more standard before it can really be enjoyed.(and cheaper) I'm buying a fancy 3D tv(Sony to be exact) but not because of all the cool 3D stuff coming out, it's because I'm buying a new TV anyways and I have the money right now to buy it. But if i wasnt buying a tv anyways then no i wouldnt go out of my way to buy a 3d tv b/c 3d isnt worth thousands of dollars. 3d is gonna struggle because of that. everyday people dont care enough about it to buy all the crap to use it. but it will get more standard and cheaper soon. dont sweat it if you cant afford the TV cause I'm 100% sure that the game be kick-a** without it and the 3D would probably get old very fast anyway smile

This 3D thing is not going to last. if you play a game, or watch Tv, for hours on end in 3D it can and will mess up your eyes.

actually not...3D is praised by alot of ophthalmologist b/c it exercises the eye muscles. yes it can cause headaches but thats just like any work out. you work your arms they hurt too. but the more you do it the less it will hurt you. the effects are little to none.

well of course excessive 3d view would probably cause damages (my guess not fact) just like viewing tv in general too much. but i dont think there are any real concerns. its all in good fun...just like trampolines hahaha.

From what i've read it's not that it affects your eyes, as noted it would probably help to a degree as they are being excersised.

The problem is with your depth perception which could be affected as your brain is trying to make sense of something that really shouldn't be happening.
