Since everyone seems to be making a thread concerning everyone's win pose as it's released, why not make a thread dedicated directly to them? In order to avoid cluster, of course.


Entrance animations

This is the long gameplay trailer from the release at E3, but it contains Scorpion's, Sub Zero's, Johnny Cage's, Sektor's, Reptile's and Kung Lao's.

Thanks for the easy reference. The poses seem really awesome to me. Way better than the generic stuff from the PS2 games.

Kitana - don't like it.

Johnny Cage - cool.

Cyrax - cool.

Jax - neutral.

Kung Lao - awesome, love it!

Nightwolf - cool.

Sub-Zero - meh (don't like his final pose and his head position).

Sektor - cool.

Mileena - meh.

Scorpion - cool (not sure what'll be his pose in the Netherrealm though).

... ... ...

Overall, not bad, but enough of these victory poses that break/damage/freeze the screen.

I much prefer Kitana's fatality win pose over the non-fatality one.

They could have done something much more original with Sub-Zero, that screen thing is rather boring.

I miss the Lin Kuei bow from Sub-Zero's DA/Deception/Armageddon winpose. He could still do that after he freezes the screen instead of just standing still like a doofus.

I wouldn't say "like a doofus" necessarily, but I do wish he did some that was more of a pose, instead of just standing there. I would have even taken his MK3 win stance.



I do think that all of the win poses we have seen so far, at least, are rather good and while I don't think they necessarily add more personality to the character, I think it helps define their personality.

Judging by Armageddon's Konquest,that pose seems be something the Lin Kuei do. It needs to come back in one way or another.

In other news,FUCK YEAH JOHNNY! The Hollywood smile,the snapping motion with the glasses,the fucking sparkle at the end - it's PERFECT.

You know what would be great? If he had an alternate win pose for when you get a Flawless. Because if he never got hit,then his 500$ sunglasses don't snap in half. :3 Ultimate insult to injury.

See, that's my problem with Sub-Zero's. After the ice, he's just standing perfectly still. There's no personality in that. The Lin Kuei bow would show actual traits of his character, his disciplined attitude and clan devotion.

I agree, but it could be worse. Who knows though, maybe we haven't seen everything when it comes to the win poses. However, I don't think there will be many changes to this.

When I think of fans,I think graceful motions. People give Kitana shit for looking like a belly-dancer now,but these smooth sweeps she's doing is definitely something I could see a dancer do,for whatever that's worth.

I think Cyrax's was kinda cool. It doesn't really make any sense, but it was pretty cool anyway. Not sure what all the hate is about.
