Sorry if I'm the only one excited about this, but...
I could be totally wrong on this, but I was looking at the Gamespot coverage from E3 again (the long gameplay video) and I noticed something that I don't think anyone's pointed out to this point.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izVZsnCiaWk At the 8:10 mark, Cage glows green and kinda holds his hands out. Now, this could just be him about to do a throw. It would make sense, considering that Kung Lao just threw him and the fact that it's a demonstration fight leads me to believe that this could easily be the case.
But then when Kung Lao tries to punch him, Cage deflects the punch and goes right in to his X Ray move.
Now, I don't know if X Ray moves make you counter automatically before they start, but that doesn't overly make sense to me. It could be part of the X Ray move, but again, that just seems odd to me. It also wouldn't be a combo breaker because, well, there's no combo to break.
What do you think? Do you think that this is a counter move? It sure looks like it! All I have to say is that if MK finally introduces real counters in to the series, the stock of this game will increase dramatically in my book!!
I've been wanting counters in MK for years now (not those garbage parry moves from MK:D that looked awful and totally stopped the flow of gameplay) and it looks like I might finally be getting my wish!
Sorry if this has been talked about already, I didn't see it listed on Crow's move list for Cage on the Day 3 of E3 page and I see no threads related to counters and I've gone through many threads in general.
Again though, what do you think? Do you think that's a counter and if so, do you WANT counters in MK?
