If the rumours are true, that woman in blue in Khan,s arena is Kitana.
For those who didn,t see the picture she's kinda dresses-up like Jade was in MK:Deception.
Now this makes me realise that they're is too much "pangs" or "cloths" in the MK desings. It's something that is hard tho animate. I mean, Jade's cloth seamed way to much rigid in MK:D/MK:A. (Some goes for Shujinko's robe, Sheeva's skirt, Shao Khan's cape, etc...)
When it's not looking stiff as wood, it's going threw the legs of the characters wich, once again, is not realistic.
I do hope Kitana's final desing will be closer to her looks from MK2 and the MK team avoid those tribal pang's.
Just my two cents.

You are very right. Practically everyone in MK has a "pang". They did always look stiff and the legs would always go through. Like if you did a fatality on someone like Shujinko, and his legs are ripped off, all that's left is a big plywood looking loincloth. They need to calm down with that stuff.

I've never heard a loincloth called a "pang" before.

haha
My bad, in french it's called a pang and I assumed it was universal.
Loincloth might be the correct term.

Ahh, French, that explains it.
In English, "pang" means a sharp pain or spasm.

Your argument is based on old Mortal Kombat games. So I'm gonna assume that you never played "Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe", in which the engine itself is nothing like them. And from what I've seen, the "cloth" material is fine. If you do some day play MKvsDC and find a problem, then just take note that
NOTHING IS PERFECT.
I'm not trying to defend this, I just wanna say that in all my years of seeing cloth material going through legs and whatnot, I got to the point that I'm used to it and accept that this is something that will never be 100% perfect.
And because of that, I agree with this guy.

I agree, concerning outfits/costumes and characters physical appearance it's so hard to convince everyone. That's why I lately created a topic like that:

I always called them loin guards.
Anyway, I like them for the ninjas. They work for characters like Jade and what not if they're done right.
