How did Kitana die in Armageddon?

I've been watching the Story Mode intro a few times, trying to piece together what exactly happened to my favorite characters at the end of Armageddon. Some of the fighter's fates are pretty obvious. Baraka was chopped in half by Kung Lao, Kira got impaled on a spear, Sonya... well, she clearly died a very, VERY painful death. Poor Sonya.

But what about Kitana? Kit's my favorite character in ANY video game, so I gotta know what happened to her! Her arm appears, very briefly, when the camera focuses on Kung Lao's corpse. And that's it. It can be surmised that she died, but there's no indication of how. I've been looking through the other shots in the intro, trying to spot her body and get a better idea of what (if anything) happened to her, but no luck.

Anybody know how she died? Or have a theory?

Maybe Kahn happened to whack her on his way back from escaping Onaga? IDK, I wouldn't put too much thought into a scene that gets retconned 2 minutes later.

Well, they actually don't even bother to show any of her besides an arm. Anything could have happened.

My heart sank when I saw my poor Sonya and Johnny...but, I ended up with a smile in the end.

Those scenes were truly quite shocking and caused quite an impact, imo. To show off the main characters dead like this....

And yet Raiden still some of them killed, and even worse they're now in the hands of Quan Chi and Shinnok...MK10 is gonna be fun on the bun.

Is it wrong that I was happy when I saw a dead Reptile? I just felt good NOT seeing him eviscerated as bad as the others.

Nope, I was also glad that Reptile didn't seem to die a gruesome death like Johnny or Sonya.

They didn't show her at all except for the hand, so we can't know. I think you might be too caught up in it, though... the point was "Everyone's fucked up!", I'm certain they didn't spend time plotting out how each character should die.

A rather unsettling cutscene, really.
