Yes the old Sub-Zeo does turn into Noob, but in this particular pic it is still Sub-Zero, He just looks darker, and there is a thread on this video anyways.

He's darker because he just got burned to a crisp by Scorpion. We actually haven't seen Noob Saibot yet.

Well if you look at the video where they show his part, his outfit changes, skin is darker & mask looks diffrent, maybe thats why noob is all black in the games? hes not all black hes just burnt lol

Noob was once Sub-Zero but he got his ass PWNED!! by Scorpion and burn the crisp. But for some reason he never died, he remained burnt and decided to call himself noob because he felt like a noob.
Now he wants revenge on Scorpion so he can gain self confidence again and change his damn clothes. But until then he lurks in shadows and likes roasting marsh mellows once in a while. hmmmmm marsh mellows.
But noob is a powerful force, he lost his ice powers so he copied everyone's moves and made a few of his own.

One day he will avenge Scorpion and become Sub-Zero again, but he doesnt know his brother copied him, when he finds out someones gonna get a beating. Hes super crisp, if you see him you'll wanna taste his crispyness and crunch on him like rice crispies, snap crackle pop. He loves cheerios. He also loves stalking little girls in his spare time, an add hobby.
He recently tried to get breast implants but it turned out an epic fail
After being sent to Rehab because of his addiction to coke he went to college.
