I've just always felt that the two were there to sort of compliment each other. Just like we have Sub-Zero and Scorpion, we also have Kitana and Mileena.

I agree. So long as Kitana's not jacking moves and it's not the same exact story URR--time they're together.

Not to mention they would make quite a formidable team.

Which is why I'm hoping one of the changes is that Kitana never rebelled against Kahn. I think it'd be cool to see how the MK-verse is affected if Kitana never allied with the Earthrealm warriors. Same for Sindel.. I hope she remains as Kahn's evil Queen.

Kitana will make it. She's the back bone for the Female division of characters.

I personally have never cared much for Kitana. Mileena has always had the better story and costumes. So it really wouldn't hurt my feelings if she wasn't in there, but I'm sure she will be. Since this is going back to the early days, maybe she'll be back on Shao Kahn's side and working along side Mileena and Jade again.

I would much rather Tanya & Mileena working together. Tanya being my favorite female in the series. She's so deceptive and manipulating that Her & Mileena would work together well.

I hope the MK team doesn't see this talk. You people are jeopardizing Kitana's entire character. If you don't want Kitana back as Kitana, you might as well just ask for a new character instead.

Kitana should be Kitana. I'm not saying different things can't happen, but taking her totally out of her storyline would be a mistake.

Tanya's special moves I think are in need of some reworking but I do like her story. I just wish they would make her a little less of a follower and make her more of her own person. She pretty much just aligns herself with whoever is in charge on the villain side.

Her appearance does need an overhaul. She's the iconic female of her era in the series: she ought to look better than she does.

Anyway she should be, she is my favourite female character with Mileena.
Kitana has many fans and it would be stupid not to have her in the game.

Oh I agree, she is a classic character. I think she just needs some work. And the whole thing with Lui Kang needs to go bye bye. I think the women in MK should be the strong independent type. When you're ripping peoples appendages of, I really don't know if you have time for a love live. But she does need to look more feminine, but I think we should let Mileena be the sexy one.

Kitana never tries to be "sexy". Her relationship with Liu is an original part of the MK series, because it is the only actual hint of any relationship at all in the entire game. Simply because you're a fighter doesn't mean you can't have any emotion, that's a silly notion. Sonya and Johnny are only hinted at ever having anything to do with one another in the game, and I think those hints were largely based on their movie appearances. Kitana and Kang have the only canon relationship in MK. Not all of the females have to be "strong and independent". When you have 6 or 7 female characters and they all have the same "I'm a tough independent girl!" personality it gets a bit boring.

I don't think being strong and independent excludes the possibility of a love relationship anyway.

It doesn't, I just took what they were saying (since we're talking about Liu Kang) as meaning they wanted Kitana to basically just be Mileena, just not ugly or whorish. And I find that boring and detrimental to Kitana's character.
