Being that MK 9 will be 2D I'm guessing that we are not going to have the MK vs. DC -style falls in the new game. If this is true, I'm actually upset! The falls were awesome! What do YOU think? Will MK 9 have MK vs DC-style falls? I won't necessarily miss the fighting while falling but I really did love the falling!!

GOD NO.

Those and close combat, were really, some of the worst features in gaming history. You watch this thing for like 30 minutes, guessing buttons, you might as well flip a coin for the winner before the match starts. And it ruined the flow of the match stopping it all the time.

Like I said, I don't want the fighting while falling. I will miss the epic falls though!

I do love the multi-tiered arenas. It was just another thing that made MK stand out as the best Fighting game. I rather not fight while falling tho. MKA had the best animations. Eventho this one will be in 2D, im sure it will have something like this. Remember in MK3, you could uppercut somebody thru the roof in the bank and also in the subway.

Oh, you mean transitions... I welcome those as well, I'm guessing and hoping that they do put them in...

Interacting with the backgrounds was one of the best parts of Deception and Armageddon, especially knocking someone from floor one down to floor two.

Unfortunately I don't see how you can do those in a 2D arena. It was lame as hell uppercutting someone in MK 3 just to see them fly through the ceiling (especially if you wanted to do a stage fatality and the computer uppercut you to the next arena).

I don't want to see anything like "Start in Subway; Uppercut to Kahn's arena" or any BS like that. A multi-tiered arena is best left in 3D. I don't see how you could probably do one in a 2D game.

MK3 had multiple arenas. I'm sure if they wanted to they could make arenas where one can get uppercut into another, just not the whole dramatic falling together transitions you saw from Deception & MK vs DC.
