PPL keep sayin they want to see certain characters in 2d, but there is no point because the mk9 characters are still in 3d, the only thing 2d, is the plain their fightin on. Mk9 is not goin fully 2D, so stop sayin it. But since the plains are 2d, that means there is plenty of space to add stuff. There4, i want to see every last stage from umk3 and trilogy(including the nintendo 64 exclusive stages) as well as characters.

Not to seem rude, But this is already very much a known fact. We all just talk and say "2D" because we dont wanna say "2D Fighting Plane"

It saves time, and we know.. thanks though.

Thank you for the correction. I honestly thought that this game was going to run on MK2's game engine... Silly me!

The character models, backgrounds, etc are all made three dimensionally (height, length, width). The only thing really 2D about the game is the fact that you can't move through the Z-Axis (you can move through the X-Axis *back and forward* and the Y-Axis *jump and duck*, but you can't sidestep). It exists, you just can't change your position on said Z-Axis.

Nintendo is comprised of three Japanese words. Nin, Ten, Dou, and when combined it means we kicked the holy shit outta Atari.

Yeah, I think this is pretty well known by now. And since this thread probably won't go anywhere...
