Got me thinking would a MMA fighter be a good fit for the next Mortal Kombat game?
Who?
Who?

If the game were to ever find itself interested in the world's best fighters defending the planet from invasion, it'd be nice to see something with a bit of an MMA flavour. A Brock Lesnar type could be an interesting model, but he's probably just as likely to fight for Outworld.

Are you asking if NRS should make an MMA type of character for the next MK?
OR
Are you asking if they should have a UFC fighter as a guest?
I would rather NRS just made it's own MMA fighter but if I had to pick a real professional, I would pick someone wild like Chris Leben.

The Mortal Kombat music plays in many places for its quality – I'm not exactly surprised – but it's always nice to know. I'd like to know the answer to the questions above too.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who values Chris Leben: I think he was fantastic in the Ultimate Fighter season one!

You mean which MMA fighter would look good in an MK game? I think that Royce Gracie probably fit the look a long time ago. Tito Ortiz would be another. Both of those guys looked like they belonged in a fighting game back in the day.

Seriously.
But a character with an MMA-esque fighting style would be interesting. Jarek, maybe?

They could take that route with Kobra if they ever bring him back.
Personally though I'd rather see Kobra keep the Karate Kid theme and get a Sweep The Leg special move. I like MK better when it does throwbacks to the days when kung fu flicks were cool as opposed to trying to be hip and modern.
