Question about the Komplete Edition

I'm thinking of buying the KE soon, and I have a question for those who already own it.

I've once read that the KE does not work if the original version is already installed in your console, and that you pretty much have to erase it in order to play the KE. Is it true? And are there any other potential glitches that I should know about?

That's not true at all.

I had the first one before I got the Komplete Edition, and it works just fine. Also, there are no glitches that I am aware of, minus the fact that my little brother can't take care of a CD for shit. lol

Also your progress from the former game remains. I.e. unlocked characters Quan Chi and Cyber Sub, Nekropolis stats, XB achievements/ PS trophies. etc
