Regarding The New Outfits

So as we see more of new outfits the fighters will be wearing and given the information we know about the new story line.
Since Raiden is sending a mental message into the past, and we are going to be reliving MK 1, 2, and 3 but with a twist, rather then wearing these new flashy outfits shouldn't the fighters be wearing outfits that look more like their original costumes? For example Scorpions outfit in MKD looked very similar to the one he wore in MK3.
Don't get me wrong, I've loved every new costume I've seen so far, especially Scorpion and Reptiles but something is telling me they should be alternate costumes instead given the story line.

With today's technology, They are now able to design and show how the characters are really supposed to look.
Due to memory limitations and technical implications back in that era, They had to simplify many of their concepts.

Thats very true if your looking at it from a technologic aspect, it would just be nice to see some good renders of their older more classic outfits

I wouldn't totally rule out the possibility. However I don't believe we will get exact replica's of those classic costumes.
If they went down that road they'd probably do something similar to what they done with Jades MKD alternate costume. Where it took her MK3 attire and enhanced it whilst still maintaining that classic essence whilst making her silhouette more relevant and impressive with the technology they had at their disposal.
