It absolutely should be in the MK2011 subforum and NOT the "Future MK Game" or "Fan Submission" subforums. It totally isn't a waste of usable time and probably should stay on here. IT feels right.

I love having people who hate each other from various ninja clans dancing together for an entire night before they go to kiull each other. The likes of Bi-Han, Scorpion, and Raiden think it's absolutely necessary to strut their stuff on a set of glowing squares befor they go to kill their nemesis or save their real.. We all want these mighty, bloodthirsty warriors to show a softer side and just "boogie". Becaue that's what makes a good fighting game story- people dancing before they kick the crap out of each other.

The hunger games which is about survival of the fittest has an opening ceremony before they go to kill each other. Tron has a club where the citizens of argon go when they're not derezzing each other. There is no formal ceremony in Mk.

So Shang Tsung's speech after the boats arrive don't count for anything. Apparently, that was looked over. I guess Shang Tsung announcing everything to everyone is now nothing and is pointless.

So what if the Hunger Games has an opening ceremohy? And Tron? Last I checked, those are different franchises. If all a franchise did was use ideas from others, nothing would be any interesting anymore. There's no point in games and movies anymore once all they do is copy one-another.

Speech means nothing. The London Olympics 2012 had a speech before the opening ceremony.Why can't they have a ceremony in the hall of fame? Mk does not havea ceremony that celebrates the event of mortalkombat. These lyrics are unbeatable

But MK isn't the Olmpics. It's a fight to the death. I don't want to celebrate getting ready to kill a bunch of people. Hell, Liu Kang is a paciphist, so I'm pretty sure he wouldnt want to have a big celebratory event of beating people into pulp and having to save his entire realm. It wouldn't fit well with the mood of the tournament.
