Something Funny About Goros Costume

So I was going through the "Fake Games" page of the Kombat Pavilion, when I noticed a screenshot on the old MK3 Omega page.



Now I may just be seeing what I want to see, but isn't that Goro's MK9 costume?



Anyone find that, for lack of a better word, spooky that it ended up being so close to that fake screenshot from over 10 years ago?

I can see some similarities, but it's hard to tell because the old version's detail is all muddled. The loin cloth looks similar enough to his current look though, pretty interesting find I must say.

It doesn't look similar at all to me. On the old costume, the belt buckle is a yin yang, while it's not on the new one. Also, the sash on the new costume is more ornate. Finally, the new Goro has the spiked shoulder/chest bandolier thing. The gauntlets are similar though. But that's it.

I think if anything that old screen looks like Goro's MK4 costume, with the Yin Yang symbol and so forth.


But them, when your costume is only a loincloth, there's not going to be too many differences between versions no matter how hard you try lol.
