And would you feature your added stages at any point in the story mode?

Added stages

The bank. After defeating Reptile, I would have had Stryker fight Mileena there, before he and Kabal left the building and encountered Kintaro.

The Pit 2: With it's stage fatality. I would have changed the scenery on the Pit 1, and made the Dawn version the Pit 2. I'd have Cyrax fight Sheeva and Baraka there.

The portal. Smoke's chapter could have started there.

The kombat tomb. Various fights could have taken place there in the MK2 half of the story.

Wu-Shi academy, with the stage under attack by the Tarkatan. Jax's fight with Baraka obviously could have happened there.

Blaze's pyramid.

Stages like the Pit Bottom that wouldn't appear in the story mode: Any that's not a pointless variation of an existing stage could have been good, but just to name a few: Coal Mines with three stage fatalities just like in Kratos' stage, Yin/Yang Island, and a Freddy one.

Removed stages

The night versions of the Courtyard and Shang Tsung's garden, especially the latter. If you're gonna add a stage that you don't even visit in the story mode, make it a unique one like the Pit Bottom. Only the Rooftop variations were actually good.

What I would want change is to have a smaller stage like removing 1/5 of the current stage size. Im tired of kitana fan spammers going mid, mid high, high and where 1 hit followed by another would push you all the way back
or maybe liu kang aint so great vs kitana...confused

Yeah us Kitana's definitely can get crazy, I just go balls out with her, basically don't give my opponent the chance to breathe.

I would have added the Portal and Kombat Tomb.

I agree about the Bank.
Portal, and Kombat Tomb not being in is baffling...

Shang Tsung`s Garden is an update of The Warrior Shrine, which was originally a night stage.

Not sure if it's just in training/practice or if it's in versus, but if you press both shoulder buttons on the stage select screen, you get the AR stage. The foreground is the Kombat Tomb, but the bg/sky is whatever the PS Vita's camera is facing. I'm not sure if it has the stage fatality.

Also, while the Portal is absent, iirc a Rooftop variation has a portal in it.
