To make it clear, #1 is for images and #2 for links.
Keep in mind that #1 consists of only one piece whereas #2 and #3 consist of two pieces and you must write text between the pieces. Right?
You guessed it, #3 centers text, images and your signature. Whatever you put inside it, that's currently filled with "text $ here", it will center it. It's easy!
