Self-explanatory title. Only those for playable characters, so the Sindel Massacre shouldn't be mentioned as I'm sure it's the first bad victory that will come to most people's minds.

Kitana beating Smoke and Johnny simultaneously would probably be the second thing that comes to mind for most people as far as non-sensical victories go, so if possible, could you state other examples?

Anyway, as for victories that made sense, Sonya vs Bi-Han, Stryker vs Kintaro and Ermac, and Kabal vs Noob/Mileena and CSZ, just to name a few. It's good that the secondary heroes were allowed worthwhile wins, to show that they were chosen for a reason, and that the Shaolin Monks aren't the only good fighters. While I'm not sure Mileena needed to be teamed up with Noob for any reasons other than gameplay ones, Kabal beating Noob and CSZ was okay with me.

A victory I didn't like was Scorpion's against Sektor and Cyrax. Obviously didn't do much good for Sektor's character, but what it did to Cyrax's wasn't much better, as he was one of the playable characters thus one of the heroes even if brief, yet couldn't beat Scorpion even with someone else's help. Easily made him look like the weakest of the playable characters.

The most nonsense victories in the game in my opinion were the these:

Kung lao vs Goro: He just wiped the floor with the guy who killed his ancestor, with no special training at all! He didn't even think about it after...

Kung Lao vs Quan-Chi and Shang Tsung: He was killed by them in Deadly Alliance after training with Bo'rai'cho, how the hell did he beat them during MK2 time?

Striker vs Kintaro: You want me to believe a normal human with no magic or martial arts training at all can take on a Shokan?!

Striker vs Ermac: Not only can he take on a Shokan, but he can also win against Ermac? The same guy who in Deception fought Kitana, Johnny, Sonya and Jax all at the same time?!

Cyber Subzero vs Goro and Kintaro: Two Shokans! Two fucking Shokans and Subzero defeat them and still had enough energy to take on Ermac after...

The game was full of nonsense victories in my opinion, I mean, how much effort would it take to create some generic minions for story mode? They did it in the challenge tower =P

Smoke defeats Kitana solo, then Kitana defeats both him AND Cage. This is probably the strongest example that comes to mind.

CSZ vs both Shokans isn't that nonsensical - his cybernetic upgrades make him super-efficient.

Efficient enough to die from an uppercut.

Seriously though, it's not that CSZ is tough, it's that Goro and Kintaro are no longer important, thMK1 where he's supposed to be the scariest thing about the tournament with a 500 year undefeated streak. He's not that icon anymore, he's an afterthought.

And Kung Lao, who entered the tournament specifically to fight him and avenge his ancestor, but can't get past his first match because he isn't ready for primetime and shouldn't have been in attendance, is able to beat Goro like the next week and doesn't even mention it or care anymore...and then beats Shang, Quan Chi, and Kintaro all in a row immediately afterward.

I hate how you can never play as other characters like Sektor and Reptile in MK9 story mode.
