It would be a clever move for NRS to create stage themes based on certain charaters. I have all my Shang Tsung related stages and thats great for my main guy, but what about everyone else?
Currently we have:
Sindel stage: Desert
Shang Tsung: 5 stages given to this man alone; thats more the Shoa Khan can say.
Ermac: Soul Chamber
Mileena: Flesh Pits
NetherRealm(Hell): Belongs to the Brohterhood of Shadows: Quan, Smoke, Noob, and the weakest link Scorpion; whose been kick out the tribe due to his constant crying about his dead family. LOL!
Dead Pool and Living Forest: The closest thing to a Reptile stage in this game, but will not overdo his stage that was created for him in MK4.
Wasteland: Is a great setpiece to all Scorpions' vs. Lin Kieu moments
Goro Lair: I like using Sheeva here
Stages that are missing and should been in game:
Where is Noob Saibot Domain stage?
Where is the Wu Shi Academy and why can't we fight there even though we was there during storymode?
Where is the Lin Kieu headout? We have 6 Lin Kieu fighters that appered during the story, at least make us a hideout.
Where is Reptile Domain and yes I know that it's under the MK4 timeline but still would be cool?
I know there could be plenty more cool ones others can think of, but a charater map themes could be a cool addition to this game. Almost every MK1-3 character have thier own theme but it's not included on here. I beat this would sell like hot cakes if they were to create this for us.

You forgot about the wonderful (and long overdue) introduction of the OIA/Special Forces stage (Sonya and Jax) from MKvsDC. The Hangar Base:
I was disappointed we didn't get to see something as awesome as that again. but, considering the OIA hasn't been cerated yet, it will hopefully make an appearance in the next game (but hopefully Sonya's ending will still have her abandon her role as an agent to go on her own).
I don't think every character needs a stage. However, some new aditions would be nice and make sense.
It would be brilliant, for example, to have a cool looking hut-like Village for Li Mei and her people.
A special base for either the Red or Black Dragon (as seen in MKA's Konquest).
It would be brilliant to have ancient ruins and temples for Edenia (the destroyed fallen part) or Zaterra (Reptile). Maybe even ruins in earth that resemble the ancient Latin American cultures for a new character that could be descendant of those places.
A Hollywood set just for fun for Mr. Johnny cage.
Even Vaterrus (spelling?) for the Vampires, etc.

I thought there was a lot of wasted potential with House of Pekara in Deadly Alliance, Kenshi's stage. If they ever reworked that stage (which I doubt they will), it could be really neat.
In fact, most stages in that game were really boring...especially the music. I think that's what sucked about most stages...

Although that was my favorite stage Queve... I don't think it'd make much sense for the special forces (which really was the outer world investigation agency's shit) to have all that portal technology.
All that was developed AFTER Kahn's invasion. But seeing how MK2011 didn't even end the same way the original MK Trilogy did... we have no idea of the existence of the OIA and its technology anymore.
NOW, a lot of the stages I'd like to see weren't even created until the MKMSZ/MK4 and beyond time line... so I hesitate to list them. Plus I can't figure out how to make many of them story relevant...
· Reptile - Zaterra Prison (MK4: Reptile's Lair)
· Liu Kang - Shaolin Temple (MK4)
· Kung Lao - Wu Shi Academy (MKDA)
· Lin Kuei Warriors - Lin Kuei temple/palace (MKDA/MKA)

You're crazy. The stages were excellent in that game, especially House of Pekara. I'd love to see some of them get remade in the current engine.

Maybe I am.
They had a lot of good things going in the stages of MK:DA, but either the music was really dull, or the environment just lacked personality.
I did like the House of Pekara, but...something seemed a little lackluster. I think they could have done so much more, that's all.
Loved the Portal, Lost Tomb, Palace Grounds, and Tsung's Palace.
Kuatan Palace, and Lung Hai weren't bad either.
I think the music is what ruined some stages for me... Don't get me wrong, MK9 has several stages where the music sucks even worse.
I guess I was just expecting music like in MK4 which, in my opinion, had some of the most badass music in the series (Elder God (the best!), Goro's Lair, the Living Forest, the Tomb, the Prison, Rain, etc.)
Loud, pulse-pounding music. MK:DA's music was more...ambient and understated.

Back on subject, though, I'd like to see the Brotherhood of Shadows' headquarters as a stage. Seems like it'd be an interesting place. That or Shinnok's throne room down in Hell.

The room would be huge and fancy looking, with 1 toilet in the center of the background, gold plated and covered with spikes and demon skulls. The toilet has stairs leading up to it and rays of light shinning on it.
After round 1 Shao Kahn runs in and sits down on it, load fart noises can be heard in place of "You suck" and the other insult, maybe a sound that sounds like someone dropping a cannonball into an olympic sized swimming pool.
For the stage fatality, Kahn says while holding his nose"[disgusted voice] FINISH HIM" then walks away, you take the victim to the toilet, bash their face into the rim several times, the drown them in the water, flush the toilet then walk away.

I didnt mention the OSA stage becuase of the cannon MK vs DC brought. But that stage was badass, and love picking it when ever I used the lovely Sonya or Jax. Also I liked the Raiden stage that game had as well. I remeber having epic fights on that stage alone. Good times!

I'm not a big Street Fighter fan but I do enjoy the way they have thier stages set for every charater in each game. And with soo many MK's that has been released they should not have a problem choosing whice and redesigning this great stages everyone mention. We can only hope for Stage/Background DLC or hope that MK10 will follow the Street Fighter stage formula.
