I know that they will do the next Mortal Kombat in 3D but I think they should eventually do a brand new 2D Mortal Kombat with actors again. The graphics to capture in HD would be incredible. The frames they could capture and effects would make it so classic and yet so incredibly fresh. What do you all think?

I think you need to look up MK Blood Storm on YouTube.

There's even another fan-made HD MK being made: http://www.trmk.org/forums/showthread.php/25235-Mortal-Kombat-HD-Remix-with-MUGEN

I'm also one of many fans who would love MK to return to 2D.Wouldn't you think they can work on a 3D and a 2D game?I mean,NRS most likely has the money to do so but they might not make enough profit to continue. If NRS decided to return to 2D graphics,How much marketplace points would you guess a 2D MK game would cost? My guess:maybe between 1600 and 3200 points.

If what I'm supposed to be looking at is the two videos that were posted in the thread, then my hats off to whomever designed those. It's like MK1 the way it was meant to be seen.

Some of the animations are a bit strange / choppy, but that's to be expected. Still, the backgrounds, the fatalities... I would love to play that game. I would pay for something like that on XBL or PSN.
