what if vega could decapitate ryu, but baraka could not slice jaxes head off?

what if akuma used a fireball to turn ken into bones and ash, but liu kang could not burn someone to death with a fireball.

what if blanka could electrocuite guile, but raiden could not explode reiko with lightning.

im a fan of mk but would you still like mortal kombat if their was no fatalitys. I think mk would be very different if that was gone. ive always wondered if i would like mk without the fatalitys.

also what would you think if streetfighter had fatalitys, and would it be as good as mk.

tell me what you think about this because i got the idea from a dream last night.

If Street Fighter had fatalities it would be stupid. That's my take on it.

Street Fighter is far too cartoony for such a level of violence, and Mortal Kombat's grim atmosphere is rather reliant on the idea that the participants can die at each other's hands any given moment.

Street fighter has a button mashing game play wile Mortal kombat has a Statagy Based Game play. Any hoot. Having said that. Street fighter would not be fun wether i could kill you or not.

Yeah, I luv MK... but I have to agree.

There's as much if not more strategy and complexity in SF than in MK. I do however, think that MK gets brushed off as a "dumbed down" fighter with virtually no complexity by a lot of the elitist jap fighter crowd... usually the same people who've never really played MK.

reptile88 Posted: 11/17/2007 12:29 AM In response to my post. You have no fucking clue of what you're saying, pretty ignorant post. On topic, leave SF as it is,no fatalities. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ First things first. No need to be so hostile. There is strategy in all fighting games, Other wise they would not be fighting games. And the term Button Mashing is not a dirty Term. GamePro Magazine has been known to define Street Fighter as a button masher. Game Spot . com can be qoted as saing “That also doesn't stop it from having the same button-masher-friendly gameplay as its predecessors.” In reference to street fighter. Total Gamer Zone refers to SF2 as “Capcom's SNES button-masher, Street Fighter II” Thats OK, Tekken (according to G4 TV) falls under that category and it is one of my favorite fighters. So calm down. As for calling me ignorant I disagree, for as I have previously stated G4 and Gamepro both agree that being a “Button Masher” is not a negative term. Mortal Kombat is Strategy based because it involves The dialing in of combinations at the right time during the fight. And that’s not even all of them, one could easily argue that MK4 is a button masher. Just calm down dude.
