Maybe it would be kool if Midway came up with an MK game set in the future, say a thousand years after Deception. They could call it MK:Millennium. Now the game wouldn't have aliens and spaceships and all that, maybe some things, but mainly stuff like more worlds other than just the realms and characters from them. I came up with this idea and a story that could be worked on but heres the characters and main idea.

MKM
Long ago, emperor of Outworld Shao Kahn was defeated in a huge battle in his realm. However, some of his army members did not die. The most powerful one was barely alive and would die soon, so the remaining members carefully preserved his body using their knowledge of magic, in hopes that one day, their decendants would discover this warrior and make them their ruler, and Shao Kahns legacy would thus live on.

1000 years later....

Many people by now have moved from Earth to newly discovered worlds and realms. In Outworld, rebels of a cult organization are exploring ancient ruins. They come upon the tomb of the killed warrior from a long time ago. His torn apart body seems as if it has no meaning or use, but an inscription on the coffin tells how to awake the body from its magical slumber. Before they do this, they put a suit around him and replace his missing arm with a large blade-like device. Once they awaken him, the call him Blade. With his wisdom of the world in which he came from, he becomes their new ruler and soon retakes Outworld as emperor. The future gives him the power to also threaten many other worlds as well, and from fear they surcome to his rule. The universe then is threatened by this evil from the past, and even with all of the technology, no one knows how to stop it.

But, the Shaolin Grounds where great temples once stood holds many schools and ancient monestaries where monks still reside. A legend tells of Mortal Kombat, and the great Liu Kang defending Earth realm. The monks decide that this legend may help save their world, therefore, they contact the thunder god Raiden.

Some things going on at this time: Lin Kuei clan still around but are evil again, Hai Ten clan is new (they oppose the Lin Kuei clan)

Well thats about it, i changed it a little from what it originally was because i had made it up a while back and most of it didn't make since. So there. I may post the character's bios later.

Says the same guy who came up with the idea of a fighting tree as a sub boss.

I think this idea has potential, and it's nice to see you haven't gone down the spaceships and lasers route. maybe not having it quite so far in the future (another couple of generations later maybe, perhaps an all new tournament setting things off again) would make it easier to tie in with the MK series as it is now.

Edenia is not heaven. If it were so, than Kitana would not have mourned
the death of Liu Kang. Edenia is just another province of the Outworld what has just separated recently.

Yeah I actually made up some stuff for some old characters like Sub-Zero, Scorpion, and Smoke. Like, basically all their stories were went like this:

Sub: Freezes himself and in the future is unfrozen. He discovers that the Lin Kuei clan is evil again so he tries to bring them back to good.

Scorpion: Since he is dead anyway, time dosen't really affect him, so he stays in Hell for a long time until all the stuff starts happening and he senses Sub-Zero so he comes out and gets caught up in it all.

Smoke: Was shut-down sometime and never re-animated until this time. But since its in the future they take his human body from the cyborg suit and restore him.

Remember, this whole idea i hade way before Deception came out, so anything that happend then messed up my story a little bit.

About Me

Geez, I've been a member since MKDA was just a pic of Scorpion and Jax looking at each other and I have less than 2,000 visits. I should really log in more...

Sounds like an alright idea. I like how you explained Sub-Zero, Scorpion, and Smoke's reasons for being in the future...but the only other people that could possibly be around are the Edenians (Kitana and the others), Raiden and the other gods, and maybe ALL of the bad guys (since they're usually seemingly immortal).

Alright heres some more characters in the game..

Karnivore- Reptile's race of Raptors was on the edge of extinction until Khameleon was discovered. Together, her and Reptile, the only two remaining Raptors, incresed their species and ruled them in a new realm as King and Queen. Up until now, the race has still survived, but Blade has discovered them and feels they are a threat to his plans of domination. He sent troops to attack their land, which they have been fighting off. In the mean time, they sent Karnivore, a crazed and very strong Raptor, to kill Blade.

Barakade- His father was full Tarkatan, but his mother wasn't full Tarkatan. Therefore, instead of massive blades comming out of his arms, he has three claws comming from them. (like Wolverine). Since his mother wasn't full Tarkatan, he was able to have a calmer mind and patience to learn many fighting styles. His homeland in Outworld was to be extinguished by Blade and used as an army camp, but Barakade wouldn't just let it happen.

Fog- One of the warriors in the Lin Kuei clan, Fog is not as careless as some of his clan members. He is however a very skilled and powerful warrior. His purpose in the war is to let the warriors know that the Lin Kuei is still alive and dangerous.

Skull- He was one of Shao Kahn's greatest warriors, Skull was also a close friend of Blade. Therefore, Blade thought it was imparative to travel back in time and bring Skull to his new army in the future.

Breeze- Breeze is the founder of the Hai Ten clan. Similar to the Lin Kuei, the Hai Ten clan dress as ninjas, but they are about respect and well being, making them an opposing clan of the Lin Kuei. Once Breeze hears about the Lin Kuei's message through Fog, he takes his warriors and heads to the battleground to confront the other clan.

Thorn- He is actually from the future ahead of this year that the wars of Blade are occuring. In his time, Earth had been saved from Blade's rule, but his homeland of Edenia was not. It was being invaded by the still surviving Skull. Therefore, Thorn discovered the time-travel portal to go back and kill Skull so that his land would be safe in his time.

Albino- He belongs to no race or clan known. His appearance is of a white ninja-like warrior with only red eyes. Most of his skill and tactics come from his ability to dissapear. His intentions in the war are unknown.

Chain- An Earthrealm warrior who has trained long at the Shaolin grounds. He has studied and learned some of the skills and powers of the legendary Liu Kang. The Shaolin monks, after being threatened by Blade, send Chain on a mission to destroy him and protect Earth.

Hawk- Hawk was once a member of the Black Dragon clan in its last few years. Then, he changed his ways and joined a U.S. Special Forces squad. Once the uproar in the universe happend, he was sent on a mission to keep a close eye on the two biggest clans in the war: The Lin Kuei and Hai Ten clans.

Mist- Mist is one of the first members recruited into the Hai Ten clan. He was taken with Breeze to Outworld to stop the Lin Kuei clan and Blade's rule.

Hook- Another warrior taken to Outworld with Breeze in the Hai Ten clan. At first, his appearance makes some believe he is evil. He wears two hooks attached to his wrist bands. His knowledge of these weapons have made him a very dangerous warrior.

Millitaro- About 200 years prior to the war, the Centaurians and Shokan had the biggest battle of their histories. In the end, the Shokan ultimately defeated the Centaurian race. Millitaro was the leader of the Shokan army during this time. Now, this 400 year old Shokan beast has been noticed and recruited by Blade as general of his armies.

Ax- Ax is a fierce ninja warrior who has been cursed to always carry a larde double-sided axe. Like Scorpion, Ax is a dead ninja spectre, also belonging to the same clan as Scorpion once did. However, Ax sees no point in trying to cure his curse. He escaped the Netherrealm when Scorpion opened the portal and got out, therefore, he remains a wildcard in the war.
