A Kung Lao game idea.

Me and my friend were watching Mortal Kombat Konquest, he recorded eveyr episode. And a thought just came to my head, why not make a game that takes place before Goro is intoduced.

The MK tournament in which we could play as the Original Kung Lao, and if anyone has seen any of the MKDA artwork for characters you'll know where I am going with this, and we could have a sub-boss that was named evil Sumo.

I wasn't thinking right when I came up with this idea so don't start flaming me and tell me its stupid, but it was just a thought. Then you could have characters like the first leader of the Red Dragon, Shirai Ryu, or the Lin Kuei. Shang Tsung would be the final boss again and we would find out the fate of some characters even if they are obvious.

I'd like to know more about the original Kung Lao, and some of the past Mk history. It could be used to expand on so many things, like the Red Dragon clan, and Shang Tsung's past, and how he first recruited Goro. It would be cool to have some official, canon information on what happened at that time.

I've seen the Evil Sumo concept art however, and thought it was one of the worst concepts I'd seen. Leave him as an unused idea.

I think its a good idea... exept 'Evil Sumo'...

... I haven't seen MKDA artwork, so where ARE you going with this?

For those who've not seen it, there's a concept sketch of a character named "Evil Sumo" in MKDA's Krypt. Aside from the crappy name, this guy was a fat man in a loincloth with sideburns. That's about it. Probably an early Bo Rai Cho design.

sounds like a ripoff of E.Honda. what about older Kung Lao? was he in there?

The "Evil" Sumo kind of looks like E. Honda. Now what I meant is that he could be the sub-boss. Since this game would take place before Goro defeated Kung Lao, we would have to have some intimidating sub-boss, right? Or would you everyone else prefer a rival to Kung Lao. An evil version of him that is under the influence of Shang Tsung.

Um....give his spiked armor and glowing red eyes. Some what Kintaro was wearing in MK2. And name him Im-a-giant-fat-ass,
