The game starts off with him as a human. After doing tasks for his ninja clan, he finds his clan and family killed. Quan Chi tells Scorpion that the Lin Kuei ninja Sub-Zero killed his family and then you go off to fight them (like Stage 2 or 3). The boss of the level will be Sub-Zero but you have to get let him get your energy low before the game switches to a cut scene of the final moments of the battle. The game can span from MK1 thru MK4. You can kill Sub-Zero in the original tournament, go through the MK2 storyline finding the younger Sub-Zero. That part can be you protecting Sub-Zero for a while before you confront him. For the MK3/UMK3 part it could be him in the Netherrealm learning new techniques before you get to the MK4 story line. You fight Sub-Zero, he tells you the truth bout the whole murder of his family, and the final battle will be you vs. Quan Chi.

Fatalities can be new and revamped ol' school ones. He can have the "Gathering" fatality (the one from UMK3 where he summons more scorpions), the original flame fatality, the MK 2 slice'n'dice but he does more slashes. For a muliple fatal he can throw his spear at numerous victims ripping their heads off.
