Same thing that happens to bodies in the real world. They stay were they are and decompose over time.

Probably all that's left of Scorpion's, Sub-Zero's and Jax' original bodies is some bones.

Well it didn't get long for this thread to turn creepy.

Anyway, that's the gist of revenants. I think it was hinted at that the body rising up in the middle of the stage is Shao Kahn's. Can you imagine how strong Quan Chi would have gotten if Ermac switched sides and handed him his soul?

I think the idea tht they died as humans, NEW bodies rose up as revenants was odd... why not just take over the original body :\ anyway, it really confused me I suppose

Good question. Maybe the revenant Johnny would become Johnny if Quan Chi was beat again, like Jax, Sub, n Scorp.

Why go through the trouble of Jax'x double having his metal arms?
Someone else pointed out the same thing: Cyber Sub-Zero was changed back, why not Jax' arms?

Then again, cyber armor may just be armor covering flesh, with some implant grafts, where Jax' arms are full on prosthetics with no flesh underneath/inside.
