Ever had that one character on Deadly Alliance or Deception that you use to use in old mk games, but there is one problem, you suck sh*t with their fighting styles...Who thinks it would be cool to have the ability to switch fighting styles with different characters, a sort of mix match? This in turn would affect the characters strength according to the fighting style chosen (fast/weak, mod/mod, slow/strong), but it would still benefit you because you have alot of experience with the style....

or better yet, do away with the shitty "Tekken Fighting Style" out of MK completly and go back to the better, funner and more exciting fighting style from MK1-4.

yeah, the MKDA/MKD fighting styles arn't even fun. its a chore to do. you go to konqest mode learning all these stupid moves, but when you actually fight your not even going to remember them all. so whats the point.

So that every single person who plays the game can always just use the two or three best fighting styles? Not a good idea. Might as well just revert to the original style of play.

well yeah, i changed my additional idea and agreed that reverting back to the classic mk fighting system would be 100x better.

Forget the old system, it sucked hard. Every single fighter would be the same gameplay-control wise.

I loved the style based system, it gives so much depth to the characters. The choose your style is not bad, but it would unbalance the game (among the furies). And hell, how would Raiden look with Crab? Or Drunken Fist?

Each style has a characteristic owner, mostly. Oh, and please, forget the lame old school control. That has no place in our current market of fighter games.

Also, the recent MK games were nothing like Tekken, my friend. If they even remotely resembled a Tekken game, they would have been fun for a lot longer, thus making for a better game.

I'm not afraid to say it anymore. I want MK to be Tekken with blood and fatality's. Why would you not? How could technically improving every aspect of the game while keeping the casual gamer happy with flashiness, be bad?
I don't understand why so many people are so quick to jump at the "MK shouldn't be Tekken!" thing.

Agreed Krakerjack.

MK were never and won't be ever Tekken. I see where the MKDA and MKD looks like Tekken syndrome comes from...the 3D evolution (not MK4, man that sucked hard-personal opinion) in those games was a little bit a "Let's be Tekken" feeling, but after you get into the game deeper, it becomes obvious that it resembles the Namco (or whatever) trademark in only one thing: greatness.

Despite the broken attack-evaluation and the bugs in the engine, MK was fully 3D. You could get around the arena more dynamicly than in Tekken. You had the same fighting speed (MKDA) in the new engine than in Tek-ken, making it feel a little bit more eastern. Why? -becouse we got used to that kind of things in japanese fighting games. And becouse MK was a western fighting game, it was a little Tekkenish of it's sudden positive change.

Midway will never bring back the old controlls. Since BIO F.R.E.A.K.S. they said that it was obsolete (it came around after MK4 release but before MK Gold) and they would search for something more coherent and unique.

I say the idea in FREAKS that each button controlled a limb (arm/leg) was good. If they would bring breaker moves (to disable an arm, foot, leg) it would be so much fun. Breaking all your opopnents arms and then finishing him off.

I like your idea sort of but it's very farfetched to me what would be the point, besides you just need to master your fav character's moves...it took me ages to master scorpion (my Favourite) but now when i use him i'm unstoppoble it just takes practise. And for Konquest mode that is stupid i think because you can't remember those combo's unless you write them down but even still.
