It makes no much sense that Quan Chi already make a fake amulet during the MKM events and Sub-Zero took a fake amulet.

You can "fool" Raiden, but Shinnok too? During 8 years (from MKM to MK4)?

MK4 makes more sense if Sub-Zero recovers the true amulet, and then during the events of MK4 is when Quan Chi recovers the true amulet but gave it a fake to Shinnok.

There's no fake amulet in MKX btw...

Going with the multiple universes, isn't Quan Chi the amulet? If you saw his Armageddon ending, you'll know what I mean.
