(Long time reader of MKO first time poster)

Has anyone checked out this comic created for Kitana on DeviantArt?

While there are some areas I think could be improved on, overall I enjoyed the story and the direction it went from the ending of MKX. Perhaps NRS should look into hiring more people to flesh out the story mode of the game? This person had some pretty cool ideas. Thought I would share it.

P.s. I liked this version of the Dark Empress costume better but imagine the hair dynamics of MKX would make it look stiff circa MK9, maybe the next game they will have it down better. Dark Emperor Lui Kang also looks better with longer hair.

Oh yeah, I saw that days ago and LOVED it. Loved it more because the author is brazilian just like me tongue

I loved the art style and the story created for this comic.

Yes, it's incredible. The second part of his Mournful comic is coming later this month and I cannot wait. I hope NRS see it and take Kitanas story in the direction he has written, so much love put into it.

Checked out the comic, that was absolutely amazing!
Fan made stuff is always fun to see.

Its just a shame its never going to be used as canon material.

It is a wonderful graphic representation, but not really a fanfic.
It doesn't move away from the canon in the games, maybe only with Raiden showing up and helping Kitana, but that has a Shaolin Monks vibe to it.
The entire comic is great because of the Outworld gladiator arena, with the imposing dusty structure giving a Spartacus season 1 vibe.
But the author mostly stuck to the story in the games, he doesn't actually contribute with something new.

I don't want to brag or anything, but drawing aside (where I suck ;) ), I made a much more interesting fanfic art about Mortal Kombat.
I still like it though, it's a good Kitana read.

Holy fucking shit that was incredible.

Gorgeous to look at and interesting to read because it's so close to the actual canon that it's less "Fanfic" and more "Visual speculation". EPIC

Great art, except this guy made Kitana's face hideous. I do agree that his version of Kitana's evil queen costume is much better than the one from the game. The crown and long hair look so much better than the Catwoman/Maleficent thing NRS gave her.

This art is really good, but, like Kitana's in this, Sindel's and jade's faces look awful as well.
