I want to get people talking about extra infected versions of, Lin Kuei Temple and
Refugee Kamp. They're seen in the Story Mode, so it probably wouldn't be that hard to add them in. There's not enough arenas, so 2 extra arena variations would be cool. My computer's currently broken and I can't tweet this to Ed Boon himself. If some of you think this is a good idea, spread the word and relay this idea to Boon via Twitter.

I think they left this treatment just for the arenas that made sense. The Dead Woods, The refugee camp and so on. Only Earthrealm stages. There is no point for the Krossroads or the Kuatan Jungle to be "infected", because Outworld and Netherrealm are not corrupted by Shinnok.

He said specifically the Lin Kuei Temple and Refugee Camp, both of which would make total sense. Not a bad idea tbh

But the Lin Kuei Temple was far from the epicenter of Shinnok's corruption.

And to be honest, there is no difference between the normal stages and the corrupted ones, except for a red palette.

The idea is not bad, but the arena needs to be different, with different stage interactions.

They appear during the cut-scenes but they weren't developped as in-game arenas. Not that it would be hard to implement or anything.

I'm all for extra arenas, even if it's just variations of existing arenas. MK9 killed it with their multiple variations of arenas (the rooftop was my favorite..I loved the night version where the giant dragon was perched on top of a building off in the distance). Good idea.

Yes, the MK9 arenas were some of the best arenas in fighting game history. They were so dynamic and beautiful. The variations made them even deeper.

MK9's arenas are phenomenal. There are quite a few really good arenas in MKX, but the music sucks. It has too many tracks that sound like the credits of a WB movie, with trumpets and violins. Most of MK Deception's music is awesome.

You see both arenas become infected in Story Mode. With the lack arenas I'm surprised that NRS didn't add them in.

I would accept if they did it to the Pit and maybe even add a different stage fatality to it to spic-in' things up.
