I like fast and aggressive rushdown characters that are good at spacing.

Some would disagree, but I would say to give Takeda a try. I like his Shirai Ryu Variation as it reminds a bit of MK9 Smoke, but his Ronin Variation is a more focused Rushdown style.

Honestly, if you like fast and aggressive Kung Lao would be a good choice. You could probably use Johnny Cage too, and as a plus one of his variations allows him to use Noob inspired moves where he can kind of shoot out a copy of himself for different specials.

I actually use Ronin more for zoning. His projectile is quick, has a reflect, and if a fool tried to jump you can hit them with a DP.

After seeing that kombat kast video, Smoke-variation TriBorg might well be right for you. He retains a lot of Smoke's special moves from MK9 and has a few returning from MK3 (grappling hooks etc)
However, what with the variation system you could pick almost any character and find a variation that suits your style best.

Yeah, I'm certainly gonna main Cyber Smoke when he comes out.
How is Shinnok? I like that character and maybe can I pick him up. I like Quan Chi too but he seems to be a zoner.

You should try Qaun Chi. He does have tools to zone but he is not limited to zoning at all, he is actually played extremely aggressively and it works lol

I love rush down and despite a lot of people not knowing how to use him, I think Scorpion is a great option! A perfect "in and out" style. Utilize the teleportation cancels and you can keep people guessing even if they are blocking with a safe exit. It's all stamina management and reads. He is very much offence.
King Lao, Kenshi and Takeda would be my other recommendations. Takeda is ridiculous to the point where I don't even have the time to learn all that shit.

Well you may not like her design but you may enjoy playing as Jacqui she is one of the fastest characters in the game she can run down just about any of the characters on here. Cassie Cage is another option if you prefer her over Jacqui. Takeda and Kung Jin are mostly broken so you will love their characters a lot. So many options out there. it is your choice to make. P.S. You will love the hell out of Tanya.

Apparently the "grappling hooks" in MKX is called Trident Spear, I don't get it. They are cords with clips, nothing like what he had in MK3. He actually had a trident spear in MK3.
