I was watching the video and I'm pretty what happens after Scorpion blasts his opponent (as seen in the trailer), there is a super split second where you can see Scorpion bring his sword down on his opponent's face, like he is going to cut it off. I can see Scorpion slicing off their face and then maybe picking it up to raise it in the air or something...

I think they said the front part of his face and skull are sliced off. This causes his tongue and part of his brain to hang out. All while they're trying to scream in pain, but it's all muffled and gurgled.

Yeah, the face just kind of falls on the ground as what's left of the brain slides out as they attempt to scream in agony. It sounds like the most horrifying fatality there has ever been.

Yeah one of Maximilian's friends said it was hard for him to watch.

It's not that we don't know it, we just haven't seen it yet.

I'd really like to see someone get their intestines pulled outta their anus...

Unless somebody scoops up footage of the fatality being done the next time a demo for the game shows up at a convention via phone camera footage, we may not see the fatality in full until it comes out next year.

That and Cassie's X-ray.

Someone said Cassie's involves making someone's balls explode... which wouldn't make sense against female characters

On female characters you get a healthy dose of cameltoe.

I'm honestly a little nervous about Scorpions fatality, because everyone that has seen it in all it's glory is making it sound like the most hardcore thing in all of violent video games! That makes me a little worried it might get watered down or even cut from the game altogether and we'll never get to see it.

Oh my...

We all know his fatality, no one has seen it yet though. I'm really worried they might tone it down, then we'll never see it. I'm surprised no one thought to record a match with their phone at E3.

This i was wondering too.
Hm.. i don't think Netherrealm change the fatality. At least i hope so they won't :D
And yes, i also know what happens in the "second" phase" of the fatality. I think this video Shows a good example:

Raising it up in the air? Yeah, like hasn't been done to fucking death in MK9. It's what we need more of in MKX, more picking up heads, organs, or a bloody fist, and raising it in the air. Sorry, but this is how stupid ideas get through and put in games. "Hey how about we just do this..or something..yeah?". I don't want to see any more raising, and posing with a body part in MKX. The game already looks more imaginative than just cutting corners. Even Ferra/Torr's fatality where Torr chucks the body parts gives it personality.

What if Scorpion was to skin his opponent, peel their face off and wear it as a mask over his head? Wouldn't it be different than him holding up the face?

I think its bs to tone it down, god of war has some really brutal stuff in there especially in god of war 3 lol
A little off-topic, and I'm not sure if it's discussed/confirmed/denied in another thread, but aren't Scorpion's twin swords an exclusive feature of his Ninjitsu Variation? And if so, wouldn't that make this Fatality only usable when using Ninjitsu?
And again, if so, doesn't that lend strong credibility to the "Fatalities based on Variation" idea that's been thrown around here off and on?
Something to think about...

Nah they already confirmed you can perform any fatality regardless of what variation you're using.
