I was lucky enough to have someone share their WBID with me a while back so I've got the 5 mobile skins. Still would have been ridiculous though if they weren't included since not everyone has the time to waste grinding out the mobile game.

Right now you have to use the MKX Mobile App. Level one of your cards up to level 40 and it will unlock the MK2 Mileena skin.

I'm not putting my bets on the table that all previous skins will be unlocked in XL. They'll probably still be locked and you have to unlock them the same way you do in MKX. Until we get XL or KP2 we won't know.

I remember when all you had to do was just view a person's profile on the leaderboard. If they had the skins, you automatically got them. I deleted the app immediately after, lol. I think it was "Super Grandpa" or something like that that everyone went to for the skins.

I can't see why those skins wouldn't be included. I think the only one they're keeping "exclusive" is gold scorpion, which drives the completionist in me nuts, but I don't like the action figure skins anyway.

They really, REALLY gotta stop with making skins exclusive to mobile. I can't stand mobile games so I'm never going to play your mobile game. But is that really a reason to deprive me of skins? I can't have certain skins because I refuse to play your shitty mobile game?

You don't even have to get a character up to level 40 to get MK2 Mileena. That gets you MK2 Kitana.

All you need to do to get Mileena is to beat a tower challenge on the mobile app, it's really easy.

Yeah, "easy". If you have an internet connection and the mobile game and the rocket science degree needed to link the two together.


As you may know, I love the mobile game, but i very much hate that some content is locked without the connection between the two, it's hugely unfair to the people who just want to buy a complete game at launch - why is that too much to ask for these days?

Seriously, i don't see why there aren't multiple methods of unlocking these things, since NRS/WB are so fond of all this cross-connectivity. Say, for instance, accomplish a task on the mobile version OR accomplish a task on the console version online OR accomplish a task on the console offline. That way no one misses out. My friend who has the game and the console and the internet still can't get all the content without connecting to my smartphone, and even then there are some skins unavailable without paying premium rates to XBlive to battle trolling scrubs online (something he has no interest in doing).

Update: My friend and I managed to link our devices. (Turns out he couldn't before because of a spelling error in the email address... but anyway.)

I got my Farmer Jax and Ninja Mime and Injustice Scorp, He got Farmer, Mime and klassic Kitana & Mileena. I'm still working on the 100 multiplayer matches (what is that? Does it mean faction wars?) We also unlocked icons and boatloads of koins for each other - and when this update happens i'll continue to give him the new skins and there may well be new cards for me. It's all good for us, it just blows that it doesn't always work out this way.
