Hear me out....After seeing how magical the pit 2 looks in mkx...ad how the cyborgs look....it only disappoints me more, and its so sad how mx turned out....

I makes me think....how much better it would have been if we got mk9 now, instead of 2011....

the first 3 games story with these graphics, and the variation system, and the story....and the characters

then i would not be so salty about the roster....then we could have had a new mk next gen.game maybe this year or next....

I just struggle to think how the next mk game can be good, and not nonsensical with out a reboot, not that it has been butchered again...to me...mkx is the new Armageddon....

Seems like you just want pretty graphics.

If MK9 was "now", and then MKX came next, you'll still be salty about the roster size for MKX and you'll still be wishing how MK9 looked like MKX because by then, NetherRealm Studios will stop using Unreal Engine 3 and move onto Unreal Engine 4.

Something you gotta understand by now is that per game, NetherRealm Studio's graphically improve. When MK11 comes out in three-four years from now, MKX is going to look like how MK9 looks against MKX. Like a bright cartoony looking joke.

The Pit and the Cyborgs are gorgeous. It would have been amazing if we had MK9's roster and stages but with MKX's graphics and gameplay but what can you do lol MKX is still really fun and also looks good in it's own right.

Oh I forgot to mention the sounds...Triborg's sound effects are SOOOO good lol I love his win screen animation so much, the clinking and the clanking, and then the final clunk when his chest thing shuts...Kreygasm lol

It's not just graphics that have improved so much. I think MK9 still looks amazing. But have you tried to PLAY MK9 since playing MKX? MK9 feels stiff, unresponsive and confining when compared to MKX. The roster aside, MK, to me, has never felt better than now. And that's how it should be. I imagine the next MK will get a big overhaul with Unreal 4. But to get back to the OP...yeah, MK9 with MKX tech would have been amazing!

I think a few of you fail to remember the state Mortal Kombat was in prior to MK9. Not that I disagree that MKX is a step up, but in the context of coming from Armageddon and MKvsDC, I'd argue that the move to MK9 was a bigger step up than from MK9 to MKX(L).

The only thing that looks like a joke in MK9 is the character design. Color is not a bad thing.

Wow can people seriously just leave MK9 alone. Some people here complain like it was the worst entry in the series. Seriously? It got freaking banned in some countries, that's more of a impact than what the previous games before that did.

Plus why do people have such a issue with MK9's color? I mean, it's not like color plays a big role in MK character design?! *sarcasm*
