Yes I'm back with the MK7 proect I have been cradling so long. Let's get straight to bussiness. I have a detailed plan of events and descriptions for the complete campaign, and it's VAST, so the updates are going to be a little slower. Almost all major characters are going to be in, with detailed psychology, physiology, campaign bios and detailed finisher list.

PROLOGUE - INTRO:

Mortal Kombat has always been and always will be.

Through ages the holy tournament of the shaolin has served as the last and ultimate test of will, strenght and provess. However, in the past, dark clouds have sat upon the minds of the most wise of earth. It was but a faint glympse of the never ending turmoil and struggle that befell the realms ever since opposing aligments were born.

And to Earth, the threat came with a skull face. Centuries ago, when the great warlord, conqueror of seemingly limitless power and with a undefe-atable armada died in an act of betrayal. It was the end of an era. An era what was defined by warlords and rulers such like Onaga. But the great king of the dragons died prematurely before his plan of total domination could have been achieved.

Out of greet and powerlust his advisor, Shao Kahn murdered his ruler and gained leadership as his own. The great empire fell apart, but the always hungry Shao Kahn sated his desires by conquering again, bringing more suffering and blood to the realms. The worlds were set on fire as theese warlords battled for supremacy.

The elder gods intervened. The beings what defined this existence have agred that the continual battle of demigods would ensure the return of the hidden chaos and menace that will be always present. The rules were determined amongs those what were first made, and the the sacred rules were made. In somekind of holy competition, war raged again, but this time defined by honor, if not hatred, by mutual cooperation, if not by bloody vengeance.

This competition took on the form of the shaolin tournament for Earthre-alm, a remote little world, untouched by the fires of the outer planes of exis-tence. And the greatest challenge for mankind cae in the form of a skull fa-ce, the face of the emperor of Outworld, Shao Kahn.

Kahn was defeated eventually at a crucial point according to the lore, and his further attempts hindered by the very fragile humans he so desperately tried to enslave. Earth has proven that the impossible can be made pos-sible. With the guidance of a young and arrogant god, the deity of thunder, Raiden, the world of the humans remained unharmed even after the flame what has been cast by Outworld.

Many tried to use the tournaments to their advantage. Some searched for power, some came with vengeance, some seeked eternal life. All have failed, for even on the brink of oblivion, Earth has proven itself victorious in the end, defying the will of sorcerors, fallen gods, and demons of unspo-ken evil and darkness. But their victories were short lived through a deca-de. Every action has consequences, and balance must be maintained. This time, the ruin is seemingly inevitable.

The wind has died down, and dark whispers linger in the air. The change has come at last. This time the consequences of every action taken shall rain down upon all those, who are responsible for the fate of Earth. But every action has reflection, and this time, theese who are responsible, shall pay. Our laws have been defied through ages, and this time, we now intervene on the behalf of all creation.

A storm aproaches, we speak no more. Mortal Kombat, shall be fought again. Such is the will of the Tribunal.

SHANG TSUNG

age: unknown
height: 5' 11''
weight: 200 lbs
sex: male
hair: black
eyes: brown

Allies: Shujinko, Sub-Zero, Blind Kenshi, Ermac, Moloch, Drahmin
Enemies: Quan Chi, Shao Kahn, Raiden, Kung Lao, Liu Kang, Rong Jun

Affiliation: Shao Kahns prime aprentice and sorcerer, Leader of the
Shadow Priests, co-founder and leader of the Deadly Alliance

Occupation: renegade sorcerer and lead shadow priest

Free-time occupation: Shang Tsung has developed a particular taste for
human concubines. His expertise in this is well known amongst those whom he had enslaved.

**

Psichology: Shang Tsung is an irredeemable, calculating sociopath who takes a sadistic pleasure in subtle manipulation through his schemings what he has mastered through eons of experience as Outworlds second powerfullest being. Shang Tsungs schemes only serve one higher purpo-se: to keep him at the peak of power to sustain his never-ending thirst for more power and knowledge to cure his curse, and to keep himself alive, avoiding the judgement of afterlife and the eternal punishment out of fear.
This dread allowed him to deform into a soulless monster, driven by a well hidden fear, and a maniacal thirst for power.

Physiology: Shang Tsungs structure equals the humans both found on the motherrealm and in Outworld. however, we can't say precisely, since beco-use of his expertise in camouflge both on the material and on the astral planes, Shang Tsung is quite flexible of change himself into almost any kind of sentient previously seen, even if it's inhumane. However the dark tutelage of his master and the constant practice has bent his original and human-like appearance to twist into a demonic being, what he must con-ceal continuously even before himself. This however has been solved by he innate shapeshifting powers he possesses. Tsung rarely wishes to change into this form, since it is unnecessary and it doesn't serve, nor suit him well.

**

Traits and abilities: Shang Tsung can morph instantaneously into any individual he has seen previously. Due to it's speed and unpredictable nature, Shang Tsung can always suprise his enemies in the most lethal
way possible. Shang Tsung is also the planes most powerful sorcerer, meaning that he can supply himself with countless ways of knowledge, power, confort and potence. Shang Tsung has mastered the use of ele-mental powers combining them with the darker aspects of the beyonder.

Weaknesses: Shang Tsungs only major weakness is his dependancy on living souls. He must harness continuously souls and spiritual energy as a leech to sustain his youth. Without that, his aging would rapidly increase which would lead to his premature death. His sorcery and shapeshifting abilities are not affected by this however, but Shang Tsung insists upon the safety, and assures the utter draining of every opponent. This act, of course, leads to imminent death, and to a never ending torture in the insides of Shang Tsungs psyche.

Styles:

Snake Style (She Quan):
There are several styles of Chinese martial arts which imitate the motions of snakes as some part of their training system. Proponents claim that adopting the fluidity of snakes allows them to entwine with their opponents in defense and strike them from angles they wouldn't expect in offense.
The snake is one of the original five animals of Shaolinquan, and there were many snake stylists known formerly from Wudangshan. Snake style is said to especially lend itself to applications with the Chinese straight sword.
Tai Chi Chuan is said by some of its schools to originally have been based on a combination of the Snake and White Crane styles, and the snake is also one of the animal styles emulated in the related arts of Baguazhang and Xingyiquan. The sinuous, fluid motion of the snake lends itself to the practical theory that underlies such soft style martial arts.
As there are different schools that train based on the motions of snakes, there are different snakes that are imitated; some, for example, imitate the Cobra, while others imitate the Python, while some schools will imitate both for different applications.
Snake style is based on whipping power which travels up the spine to the fingers. The stancework is fluid in order to maximize the whipping potential of any movement. This necessitates building a strong spine to contain the power and strong fingers to convey the strike. Since breath is important to any movement of the spine and ribs, snake style is considered one of the main styles which eventually led to internal training.

Crane Style (Pak Hok)

Tibetan White Crane Kung Fu is known as the Imperial Martial Arts during the Ching Dynasty (1644-1912) because the royal guards trained in the White Crane Kung Fu to protect the royal family. It is also considered as one of the most elegant and beautiful of Chinese Kung Fu. There are two main schools of White Crane gong fu (pinyin: bai he quan, and hokkien: pek hok kun) with very different origins and techniques.
The first one is originated from Tibet and is also linked to "Lama Style" and "Hop Gar" Kung Fu. According to the White Crane (Pak Hok) Athletic Federation in Hong Kong the style was developed secretively in Tibet during the Ming dynasty. Later it spread to middle and southern China around the 1860s. White Crane style is very well known in Chinese martial arts circles, emphasizing high steps, sweeping diversions of attacks with the arms for defense and high kicks and strikes with the elbows, fingers (in the form of 'the crane's beak') and wrists for offense.
The second school of White Crane Kung Fu is also known as the Fujian White Crane and this school traces its history back to the Southern Shao-lin Temple in province of Fujian. White crane is one of the original five ani-mals of Shaolin Quan and one of the styles that constitute Five Ancestors Fist.

Straight Sword (Jian)
A double-edged straight sword used during the last 2,500 years in China. Historical one-handed versions have blades varying from 0.45 to 0.8 meter in length. The weight of an average sword of 0.7 meter blade-length would be in a range of approximately 700 to 900 g. Additional meanings: Wei Qi master, General, and occasionally, "Creator." (eg. The man who dedicates his life to creating a meditation garden is termed the Jian of that garden, a title which later came to be passed on to the garden's inheritants or those of the purchasers of the garden)
A guard or hilt protected the hand from an opposing blade. The shape of the guard could be described as short wings pointing either forward or backward depending on the era and region of manufacture. A handle behind the guard would accommodate the grip of both hands or one hand plus two or three fingers of the other hand. Two-handed jian were not as common as the one-handed version. The handle could be used as a lever to lock the opponent's arm if necessary.
Sometimes a tassel hangs from the pommel. There are some sword forms which utilize the tassel as an integral part of their swordsmanship style (sometimes offensively), while other schools dispense with sword tassels entirely. The movement of the tassel sometimes served to distract opponents. The tassel's use now is primarily decorative.
Effective use of the straight sword required considerable skill based on good training and long practice. The straight-bladed jian became known as a weapon of the aristocracy, monks, and to high-ranking military offi-cers, professional martial artists and the wealthy for personal defense, training, ceremony, and prestigious decoration. Most Chinese martial arts, such as Tai Chi Quan for one well-known example, still train extensively with jian, and expertise in its technique (kung fu) is said by many of them to be the highest physical expression of their martial skills.

Special moves:

Soul Drain: a mid range weapon that alows to break any movement made by the opponent, while extracting a small amount of spiritual energy out of the physical shell. The power is slightly weaker than the devouring aspect of Shang Tsung, but it is enough to aid him while converting the amount of spiritual energy into his youth, thus healing him with a certain amount.

Unholy Fire (straight): Shang Tsungs most straightforward weapon is the ability to compress he hollow spiritual remains of an exhausted soul and project it out as a devastating fireball. The weapon takes up the form of ei-ther a burning screaming skull, or on larger magnitudes, a flaming snake.
Only quick crouching or sidestepping can avid this blast.

Unholy Flare (near): using up greater amounts of exhauted souls, Shang Tsung releases two of his fireballs onto a collision course with the oppo-nent. Flying on an elyptical route the souls collide on the nearest opposi-tion.

Unholy Flare (far): having to calculate the routes of his double fireballs, Shang Tsung uses this flare for long range combat. The elyptic is larger and longer, but the power of the two extinguished souls always remain the same. The only distuinguishable asset of this move comes from the fact, that Shang Tsung can buffer up a simple unholy fire shortly after the long range flare. Should he succeed, the three massive explosions lead to a quite massive dealt out. However the recovery time is quitye longer and makes him vulnerable for those who manage to escape the flaing souls and get near to the sorcerer.

**

Finishing moves:

Snake Style Lethality: when lethality is possible, Shang Tsung can slightly punch his opponents throat several times with his fingertips. This couses a suffocation, which the sorcerer ends with a quick jab with his grasp upon the neck. The one handed grasp breaks the spine ending the torture.

Crane style Lethality: Shang Tsungs quick kick upward sends the oppo-nent staggering backwards, whikle the sorcerer quickly pursues him. With a fast movement, he jumps upon the kneecaps of his opponents, sends himself flying above him, and stomp with his full weight on the foes head breaking it's spine as it makes contact with the ground.

Straight Sword Lethality: Shang Tsung quickly sweeps his opponent with a low kick, sending him off balance. But before the foe might fall on the gro-und, Shang Tsung grabs their head and holds the opponent facing him in a kneeing position, and only then does he send his jian through the foes chest, stabbing him an bleeding him quickly to death.

Soul Tear Fatality: Shang Tsung punches his forearm into the opponents chest, grasping at the heart, and while the horrible screams tell us the true suffering of the fool who contested his will, Shang Tsung slowly tears out the living soul of the body. The green apparition is bent into a small sphere of green spiritual energy, and when Tsung closes his grasp, it errupts into small particles flying through the air.

Posession Fatality: Shang Tsung transforms himself into a green vapor that surrounds his battered opponent. As the seemingly dusty cloud gets inhaled, Shang Tsung infiltrates his foes body and takes controll of it. The opponents screams as their own hands grab it's chest, transfroming into claws as Shang Tsung slowly and painfully reshapes it to resemble his natural form. The monster tries to hold balance but errupts in a violent flash and Shang Tsung merges from the cloud of bloody vapor in human form.

Hara Kiri: Shang Tsung begins to cast a spell, and while forming the magic, the souls leave his body screaming. As he finishes the casting even more souls tear out from his body. As Shang Tsung shakes, in a violent but silent flash, all of the defeated oppponents leave his body leaving a charred pile of bones and skin behind.

Bio:

"During our victory as the Deadly Aliance, I have failed myself. I did not pay enough attention towards Quan Chi and his manipulation. I was not wise to trust him. As we have struck down the thunder god Raiden, I've tried to obtain Quan Chis amulet which would eentually grant me control over the Dragon Kings army. However Quan Chi proved to me more than a match for me, and exhausted and unable to drain and renew myself from the Solnado, I fell.

When I have awakened, the near presence of another absolute power overwhelmed me. Quan Chi and I tried to fend off the aproaching dragon King, but even our combined magic, enhanced by the thunder gods might could not stop the beast. As we fell to defeat, Raiden tried the only alterna-tive he found as the only way: the great ethereal blast, despite our pleading destroyed us all. Since the thunder god is a deity, he reformed back on his own soil, the Earth. I was not so lucky.

And the flash disintegrated most of my flesh, and anulled the Soulnados construction, alongside with Quan Chis magical seal which ensured that I could not use my powers against him. However my remains still lived as all the souls left my body, including Liu Kangs, who fought to stop me even at the last seconds. The dissipating energies kept me alive for only a few seconds but that was enough. I replaced my soul into the dissipating Soul-nado as my remains were thrown inside the great whirlwind of energy. In time, my remains have been reforged while using up the Soulnados remai-ning energy as it descended back into the heavens.

As I regenerated my shell and decrepit body, I walked as a whole man out of the ruins of my palace. With almost no power at my disposition and with only a limited amount of spectral energy, I have to move quick and preci-sely. Shang Tsung will reclaim his prize, and I just found the tools to do so. Or rather, the tools of my conquest found me first. One of the agents sent to ensure my death during the Outworld tournament, the current Lin Kuei grandmaster and the wandering elderly loner Shujinko have met up with the remains of my palace. According to their tale, many things have set the worlds on fire, and they may need my assistance as the gods have left the worlds without justice. Shang Tsung is always eager to assist hu-manity. The very humanity which he will soon rule!

Episode 1:

Shang Tsung entered the tournament of the gods for two reasons. To gain his powers and influence back, and to prove that the planes most powerfull sorcerer still hungers for souls. The fragile alliance between the unlikely allies has only one alternative if they are to stop the coming doom of the Dragono King. within the tournament, theymust reach victory, and according to their plan, Shang Tsung would be able to distrupt Onagas unholy ritual of apotheosis. But to do first, Shang Tsung has to face the wisdom and power of his judges. He has to face the warrior legion Ermac.

As Shang Tsung proves himself of his provess and evil, Ermac aproves of this further alliance and reveals hidden secrets unknown to Shang Tsung. With this crucial information, Shang Tsung proves to be the only possible salvation for Earthrealm and Outworld. Shang tsung however hides ulterior motives, as always.

Episode 2:

Shang Tsungs power is strong even in his defeat. He rallies through the tournament and defeats everyone crossing his path. Driven by the souls he consumed and those that are soon to be consumed, Shang Tsungs path leads down to his ultimate challenge. A mortal versus sorcerer, he now has to face earthrealms champion, Liu Kang. In his ultimate test, the vile spawn of Outworld accepts the challenge.

Shang Tsungs fears were always in place, there was no possible way that he alone could defeat the champion of Mortal kombat. However, fue-led by dishonor and fear for his lifes essence, Shang Tsung overpowered Raidens mightiest champion, tore through his attacks and struck down the fighting monk in the service of the shaolin. But Shang Tsung was however compelled to spare Liu Kans life, he could not end it. Let alone the souls that drive him can decide over his fate, and Shang Tsung left the arena leaving the champion broken to the suprise of the audience..and to the amusement of Shang Tsung himself.

Episode 3:

Shang Tsung survived the chaos that broke out at the end of the tourna-ment. When the merger began, and te eralms were colliding into themsel-ves, Shang Tsung and Ermac headed directly to the Sky Fortress of Onaga. His ambition and vengeance drove him to equal out past indig-nities. Des-pite Ermac's awareness towards Tsungs violent evil, he hid inside the sorceres soul as a being of Hado. Shang Tsung then alone aproached the Sky Fortres's main chamber.

Shang Tsung confronted two of his nemesi at once. Quan Chi, tempted to take over the power of the Heart of San Kun Dai, challenged the being responsible for Shang Tsungs past, and fall: Rong Jun. Shang Tsungs entry suprised both sorcerors, and their combined might in the ensuing battle, altough turned against each other as well, undid Shang Tsung. However by the time they realized something was amiss, Ermac infilitrated the rituals swirling essence, tore apart the taint and cleansed San Kun Dai. Only Shang Tsungs laughter was heard when the energy dissipated in a large flash.

Ending:

Self-serving to the last minute, Shang Tsung proved himself to be unex-pectedly powerful to the end. He absorbed much strenght in the very final battles and ensured his grasp over the remaining sides of the tourna-ment. After he basked in the limitless energies of his second Soulnado born out of his final battle, he took controll over Outworlds majority.

Shang Tsung and the house of Tsung survived, as did his power. Few remained as a true threat to his power, Kahns forces, and possibly Edenia but Shang tsung knew, his powers were too vast. He rebuilt Outworld to his own purposes, and in the end, he served the elder gods wishes.

Mortal Kombat shall be fought again by the original rules, which he so cleverly outwitted. He bid a safe journey to the heroes of Earthrealm, and expressed his hopes over their future participation in the next Mortal Kom-bat tournament, hosted by him of course.

Shang Tsung achieved his destiny as ruler of Outworld, but also ultimately doomed himself to the slavery of his own fears and ends. And with such power, he can also loose as much! Shang Tsungs fate is not closed how-ever.
