I've heard some people say it plays like Injustice and other's say it doesn't. But I also distinctly remember Ed saying in the beginning stages of the game that it would have some similarities to Injustice. But let's not make it seem like it's the exact, 100% same as Injustice. It still has an MK feel to it however. But again, I'll wait until I personally play it to agree or disagree with that statement.

Ignore anything IGN says lol someone told me that they took points off of MK9 because of "unbalanced challenges"... That's right, they apparently took off points because the CHALLENGES in the CHALLENGE tower were actually CHALLENGING...Wut
