You can do that with most next gen consoles anyway, if not all. Cept it plays over the game not in the game.

I am not very found of the game having real band tracks in its stages or menus or whatever.
I am down for the idea of having ambiental musics, like yamato drums, or asian flutes when needed. Also, i think that the next MK, being a more serious and dark MK, should have some music like MK Conquest had, some tracks with that dark ambience of MKC's Outworld, or with the mysterious mysticism of Zhu Zin.

I totally hope that they don't use techno / transe / whatever electronic style in the game. Those types of music are fine for Tekken, they go well with the "face" of the game, very hi tech, and modern looking.

MK must have mystical music, deep mysterious tracks that make you travel to the places of the game.

I wish that MK had some more memorable music though. I like the ambient music, but I think that it's gotten kinda stale or not was well done in the past few games. I really liked the music in MK2. As for bands, I wouldn't mind seeing Nine Inch Nails do the music for the game. Don't get me wrong, I'm not talking electric guitars or anything, but if there's someone that can do dark or foreboding ambient music better than Trent Reznor, I haven't heard of them. I think that he could do something cryptic, employing a wide range of sounds and instruments that could fit well in the MK universe (obviously that would be the most important part). Plus, he's got experience with making music for videogames.

Oh, and by the way, (sic) by Slipknot = awesome.
